Andrew McCutchen is day-to-day with right knee soreness. McCutchen was injured sliding into home Thursday against the Brewers, but it's not a major concern and he isn't dealing with any structural damage. The Pirates should update his status on Monday.

The Pirates' 5-9 hitters went hitless on the night, but McCutchen had four back knocks and Starling Marte, Travis Snider and Garrett Jones each had a hit. Jones' ball left the yard. McCutchen had a .217 average after the April 29 game in Milwaukee, but he's gone 12-for-24 at the dish since then to push his mark up to a respectable .276.

Andrew McCutchen went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in Friday's loss to the Cardinals. In an odd scene, acting manager Jeff Bannister removed McCutchen during a double-switch in the fifth inning. The Pirates were down 5-0 at that point, but the game was far from over. Still, apparently Bannister thought it was best to give the struggling outfielder a breather. McCutchen is hitting just .226 on the year and has only driven in one run over his last 10 games.

Andrew McCutchen went 2-for-4 with two doubles to help the Pirates beat the Braves 3-1 on Saturday. McCutchen also stole his sixth base of the season while raising his RBI total to 12. He's one of the few five-tool players in the game, and most of those tools were on display Saturday. He may not replicate his stellar 2012, but McCutchen is still one of the best fantasy players going these days.

Andrew McCutchen blasted a solo homer in the seventh inning on Friday, leading the Pirates to a 6-5 victory over the Reds. McCutchen finished the night 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI. He delivered a two-run single in the second inning, then broke a 5-5 tie with his solo blast off J.J. Hoover to lead off the seventh frame. He's hitting .265/.333/.529 with two homers and nine RBI on the season.

Andrew McCutchen went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's loss to the Dodgers. McCutchen was the Pirates' entire offense. Both of his RBIs came on a two-run homer in the first inning. To no surprise, Starling Marte and McCutchen have accounted for 11 of Pittsburgh's 21 hits this season. Continue to view McCutchen as an elite fantasy option.
