Andrew McCutchen went 3-for-4 and homered for the second straight game as the Pirates fell to the Brewers on Sunday.
On a day when the Pirates offense only had five total hits off Yovani Gallardo and the Brewers bullpen, Cutch didn't seem to have any difficulty at all. His breakout season continues to get better by the day, as he may now be the leading candidate for NL MVP honors. With the three-hit effort, he's now hitting .371 on the season to go along with his 20 homers, 62 RBI and 14 thefts.

Andrew McCutchen paced the Pirates in their 13-2 rout of the Giants Sunday, going 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs, three runs scored and four RBI.
McCutchen took Tim Lincecum deep for a two-run shot in the first before tagging George Kontos for another two-run bomb in the seventh. Arguably the MVP of the National League at the season's mid-way point, McCutchen will return to an eye-popping .362/.414/.625 slash when play resumes on Friday.

Andrew McCutchen has been named as the replacement for Giancarlo Stanton in the Home Run Derby.
It's a nice honor for the 25-year-old superstar who has blasted 16 home runs to this point of the season for the Pirates. He'll join Matt Kemp, Carlos Beltran and Carlos Gonzalez as the representatives for the National League.

Andrew McCutchen (wrist) is back in the Pirates' starting lineup Monday.
It's safe to say McCutchen made it through batting practice without a hitch. The 25-year-old didn't play Sunday after leaving Saturday's game with a minor wrist sprain, but he should be good to go moving forward.

Andrew McCutchen (wrist) is not in the Pirates' lineup Sunday.
McCutchen said he'd be able to play a day after suffering a minor wrist sprain, but it makes sense to play it safe. He should be back in there Monday against the Astros. Alex Presley is covering center field Sunday.

Andrew McCutchen, who was removed from Saturday's game with an apparent wrist injury, fully expects to be in the Pirates lineup on Sunday.
He laughed at the idea of taking a day off, suggesting that he gets plenty of off days in the offseason. It's great news for the Pirates and fantasy owners alike, as it doesn't appear the injury will cost him any time.

Andrew McCutchen left Saturday's game against the Cardinals with an apparent wrist injury.
McCutchen appeared to tweak his left wrist on a diving catch in the bottom of the third inning. He was able to hang around for a couple more frames and probably could have played all nine, but it's scorching hot in St. Louis and the Bucs were out to a healthy lead. Consider him day-to-day.
