Colome appeared again out of the bullpen Thursday, giving up a run and four hits in one inning.
It could be good news/bad news for Colome in a move to the bullpen, as he likely no longer faces demotion to Triple-A Durham when Jake Odorizzi returns from the DL. Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times speculates the likely odd man out is now Andrew Bellatti or a postion player. Colome's value is severely limited now though, as he figures to be a mop-up man in the Tampa Bay bullpen.

Colome is not scheduled to start either game of Tuesday's doubleheader.
The Rays and Royals were rained out Monday night and will play a day/night doubleheader Tuesday. Colome will apparently have his turn skipped, as the Rays will go with Matt Moore in the early game and Matt Andriese in the nightcap.

Monday's matchup between the Rays and Royals has been postponed due to weather, Blair Kerkhoff of the Kansas City Star reports. The teams will play a split double-header Tuesday.
With the doubleheader Tuesday, Colome figures to simply have his start moved back a day, though the team is yet to officially say as much.

Colome figures to get one more start before possibly getting bumped from the Rays' rotation when Jake Odorizzi is activated, the Tampa Bay Times' Roger Mooney reports.
Odorizzi is reportedly going to return for the series against the Astros next weekend, and it seems logical that he will take the ball July 11, bumping Colome from the rotation. Colome has a 4.70 ERA and 1.41 WHIP so he has not done much during his audition to stake a claim to a rotation spot.

Colome (3-4) allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out three in Wednesday's loss to the Indians.
Colome failed to get a win for the eighth straight start, all Tampa Bay losses. The 26-year-old will lose his rotation spot to Jake Odorizzi, who will return to the mound Monday at Kansas City.

Colome is lined up to lose his rotation spot to the returning Jake Odorizzi on July 6, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Colome's 4.50 ERA, 1.419 WHIP, and 1.78 K/BB ratio meant his fantasy value was negligible, but Odorizzi taking his rotation spot would wipe out what's left. A conversion to reliever wouldn't bear much fruit given how crowded the Rays' bullpen is at the top and a move to the minors wouldn't likely be reversed except for another starter injury or occasional spot start.

Colome issued five walks but was able to limit the damage in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Friday. He allowed three runs on four hits while striking out two over six innings.
The five free passes set a new season high, and he's now gone more than five weeks without a win, but Colome has turned in back-to-back quality starts with a total of five hits allowed in those outings. Colome is scheduled to face Cleveland on Wednesday, lining him up to start twice during the week of July 6.

Colome (3-3) earned the no-decision on Sunday across seven scoreless innings, while allowing just two walks and striking out four against Cleveland.
Colome only gave up one hit in seven innings, but unfortunately he couldn't get any run support. He now holds an ERA of 4.50 with a 1.41 WHIP as he'll look to build on this in his next start.

Colome lasted just two innings in Tuesday's loss to the Nationals, as he gave up six runs on seven hits and three walks. He struck out two.
The second inning was the disaster for Colome, as he got touched up for a homer, a couple of bunt singles, and then lost his control and walked three batters. Colome had gone between five and six innings in all but one of his previous nine starts, but he's been shaky all year -- he has now given up 60 hits in just 49 innings.

Colome gave up one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four in 5.1 innings Thursday against the Angels.
Colome pitched a great game but unfortunately walked away with a no-decision. He lasted only 5.1 innings, and the Rays' bullpen failed to uphold the 2-1 lead they had when Colome left the game. The 26-year-old has yet to pitch into the seventh inning this season, and he'll give it another go when he faces off against Washington on Tuesday.
