Jones is being held out Friday in order to rest his legs, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Buck Showalter said Jones' legs were sore following three starts on the turf in Toronto, so he decided it was time for a day off. Jones is available off the bench Friday, and will seemingly be ready to return to the lineup Saturday.

Jones is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The reason for Jones' absence is uncertain, as he has started every game since his last day off Aug. 16. He did exit Thursday's game early -- seemingly because the game was a blowout at the time -- so he could be dealing with a health issue. It's equally as possible he is being held out because he is just 1-for-10 (.100) lifetime against Friday's starter for the Yankees, Luis Severino. One way or another, Austin Hays will get the start in center field for the Orioles on Friday night.

Jones went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and one run in Wednesday's 2-1 victory over Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Although he remains without a home run, and has just a pair of RBI and runs so far in September, Jones continues producing down the home stretch of 2017. In the campaign's final month, he's 14-for-46 (.304) with four doubles while hitting safely in nine of 11 starts. Jones' current .283 batting average is at its highest point since May 2, and owners can continue trusting the veteran until he crosses the finish line.

EDGE Analysis
This marks just the second time Jones has been ejected in his career. Expect him back in center field and in the Orioles lineup Saturday.

Jones went 4-for-4 with two solo shots and three runs scored in Monday's game against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Jones' night was somewhat historic, as he became the first O's center fielder since 1924 to go 4-for-4 with a pair of homers in a single game. Playing in his 12th MLB campaign at 32 years old, Jones is on pace for one of the best seasons of his career. After Monday's effort, the veteran is on pace to hammer 30-plus home runs for the first time since 2013, and for just the third time in his career.

Jones is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
The famously durable Jones has been just that again this season, starting 113 of the Orioles' 120 games to this point. He will give way to Craig Gentry in center field Wednesday, and with a team off day on tap for Thursday, Jones will be afforded an extended breather. He should be well rested for the start of the upcoming homestand.

Jones will start in center field and bat cleanup Sunday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Jones had regularly been serving as the Orioles' leadoff hitter since the start of the second half, but he'll man the cleanup spot for a fourth consecutive game with manager Buck Showalter having since committed to the hot-hitting Tim Beckham as the team's table setter. He's already reaping the benefits of seeing more at-bats in run-producing situations, as Jones has produced four extra-base hits and has driven in seven runs over the past three contests.

Jones went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored during Monday's win over Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Jones has four homers, 11 RBI and 12 runs during his current seven-game hitting streak. The heater has him up to a .278/.318/.468 slash line for the season, and the reliable veteran is turning in another solid fantasy campaign.

Jones went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer Saturday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Jones smashed his 18th homer of the campaign to provide the Orioles a short-lived lead in the fifth inning of a home loss. His power remains the one asset that benefits fantasy managers, as he carries a very weak batting average and on-base percentage.
