Jones (wrist) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Athletics, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones was struck on the right wrist by a pitch in the 10th inning of Saturday's contest, but an X-ray afterward revealed no structural damage. Though that seemingly takes a long-term absence off the table for Jones, he'll likely have to demonstrate improvement over the next couple of days in order to avoid a trip to the disabled list. With the Orioles off the schedule Monday, the team will likely reevaluate the center fielder Tuesday ahead of its three-game series with the Royals.

Jones went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs in Baltimore's 6-4 defeat to Oakland on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Jones was hitting just .231 coming into the contest and he's still slashing just .246/.254/.418 even with the three hits and home run against Oakland. It's still May, though, and Jones has been about as consistent a .280 hitter as they come for virtually his entire career in Baltimore, so it's likely that his average will gradually climb back to its normal level as the season presses onward.

Jones went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran still hasn't gone deep in nearly three weeks, last leaving the yard April 5. He's still managed to rack up seven extra-base hits (all doubles) over the last six games to remain productive in the meantime, though. Jones has been showing better plate discipline of late after struggling in that regard in the early going, as he's struck out just once in his last five contests.

Jones went 3-for-5 with three doubles, two RBI and one run scored in Thursday's loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
It was the first time in Jones' 13-year career that he collected three doubles in a game, and the impressive effort helped raise his OPS from .601 to .675. The veteran outfielder hadn't recorded an extra-base hit since knocking a homer and a double against the Yankees on April 5, so hopefully this will help get him back on track.

Jones went 3-for-6 with a run scored in the Orioles' 8-7 victory over the Yankees on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Jones is starting to find his groove at the plate, as Sunday's outing brought his batting average up to .267 for the year. The 32-year-old outfielder has also recorded four multi-hit outings over eight games in the month of April. However, strikeouts have given him some trouble, as Jones has struck out twice in each of Baltimore's last three games.

Jones went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and three RBI in Baltimore's 10-6 loss to the Astros on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Jones got his second homer of the season with the six-inning blast and brought his OPS on the young season from .610 to .890 with the three-hit performance. He's been pumping out 20-homer, 100-RBI seasons like clockwork for what feels like forever now and while he probably won't drastically exceed those marks, there's a lot to be said for a player who can be counted on to provide such a reliable floor. Provided he stays healthy, there's little reason to think Jones won't approach his customary marks again in 2018.

Jones went 0-for-4 and struck out twice in Sunday's loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Jones began the season by launching a walk-off home run on Opening Day. However, apart from that solo shot his bat has been quiet. After Sunday's game, Jones is 1-for-12 (.083) with six strikeouts over Baltimore's first three contests. However, despite his slow start, Jones should have plenty of time to turn things around and will be a regular in center field while serving as the team's cleanup hitter.

Jones is hitting .320 with a 6:2 K:BB and a pair of doubles in 25 spring at-bats.
EDGE Analysis
He has yet to hit a home run in Grapefruit League play, but is off to a strong start nonetheless. Last year he split time hitting in all of the top four spots in the lineup, getting the most starts out of the two hole (248 plate appearances) and his second most starts out of the four hole (227 plate appearances). So far in spring training he has been locked in as the cleanup hitter, batting directly behind Manny Machado. With that in mind, it would be wise to bet on him topping his 73 RBI from 2017, which was his lowest total since he drove in 69 runs in 2010.

Jones (leg) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Austin Hays will start in center field while Jones sits out his fifth consecutive game. The Orioles haven't indicated that Jones is dealing with a severe injury, rather they want to avoid aggravating the ailment with the season coming to an end. Jones played in 147 games over the course of the season and hit .285/.322/.466.

Jones (leg) is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against Tampa Bay, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones will miss a fourth straight game while he continues to recover from leg soreness. Austin Hays will patrol center in his stead, and bat eighth in the order. Looking ahead to Sunday's season finale, Jones should be considered day-to-day, although manager Buck Showalter may choose to let Jones rest once again instead of thrusting him back into action.
