Diamondbacks general manager Kevin Towers said Tuesday that he would like Adam Eaton to emerge as the team's leadoff hitter. "I would like to give it to Eaton, because of the speed he brings," said Towers. While Eaton has plenty of speed, he's also known as a very patient hitter, posting a .382 on-base percentage over 102 plate appearances with the Diamondbacks last year and a .456 on-base percentage over three seasons in the minors. He's quickly picking up momentum as a fantasy sleeper.
