Eaton (oblique) will head out on a rehab assignment to Triple-A Charlotte this weekend, and will likely return to the White Sox after Sunday, the Chicago Tribune's Colleen Kane reports. WIth Avisail Garcia healthy, the White Sox will have four legitimate options for the outfield when Eaton returns, but he may be the best of the bunch, and should get plenty of at-bats upon his return. With a .304 batting average and 12 steals in 94 games this season, he can be of use in most formats if he was dropped due to his oblique injury. The White Sox have Monday off, so look for Eaton to return Tuesday against the Indians if everything goes according to plan.

Eaton (oblique) played catch and took light swings Monday, and said he's on track to come off the DL early next week, the Chicago Tribune's Colleen Kane reports. Manager Robin Ventura said a couple rehab games will probably be needed before Eaton is activated, but he should be back in late-August. Eaton was in the midst of a pretty great season as an on-base/speed guy, hitting .304 with a .370 on-base percentage with 12 steals in 94 games.

Eaton (oblique) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Saturday, MLB.com's Scott Merkin reports. Eaton left Friday's game with soreness in his rib cage and it appears the injury is bad enough to send him to the disabled list. He suffered a lower back injury earlier as well, so it's possible the combination of the injuries could have played a role in the designation, but the 25-year-old outfielder won't be eligible to suit up for the White Sox again until August 24.

Eaton left Friday's game with soreness in his rib cage, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports. The injury removed Eaton from the game after his first at-bat Friday night. It's unclear if the ailment is directly related to the lower back issue that sidelined him Thursday, but Eaton is once again day-to-day.

Eaton left Friday's game after his at-bat in the first inning with an undisclosed injury. Leury Garcia replaced Eaton in center field, while it's reasonably to think that Eaton suffered a setback with the lower back injury that sidelined him early this week.

Eaton (back) is back in the lineup Friday, batting leadoff against the Mariners. He crashed into an outfield wall Wednesday, which forced him to miss Thursday's game, but he's demonstrating his toughness getting back in the lineup Friday. While he's not hit for much pop, his .305 average and .371 OBP make him useful in all formats.

Eaton (back) is out of Thursday's lineup against the Mariners. While Eaton is out of the lineup Thursday, he did lobby to play before the game and is expected to be back Friday. Leury Garcia is starting in center field and leading off for the White Sox in his place.

Eaton (lower back) is unlikely to play in Thursday's game, the Chicago Sun-Times' Daryl Van Schouwen reports. The team will reevaluate Eaton after the long flight to Seattle on Wednesday, but in addition to his lower back issue, he seemed a little woozy on Wednesday. Leury Garcia would be an option to start over Eaton in center field if Eaton can't go Thursday, but owners should keep tabs on Eaton leading up to first pitch.

Eaton left Wednesday's contest due to a bruised lower back, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. After running into the chain-link fence in U.S. Cellular Field while tracking an Adam Rosales homer, Eaton was clearly on pain while laying on the warning track. The severity of the injury is unknown, but missing a handful of games certainly isn't out of the question, despite a negative X-ray. Following Eaton's removal, Leury Garcia was handed the first shot to handle center field.

Eaton (undisclosed) was removed from Wednesday's game versus the Rangers after running into the outfield chain-link fence, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports. While tracking an Adam Rosales home run, Eaton lost his place in the field and ran full bore into the fence, remaining on the ground for approximately a minute before walking off the field. No specific injury has been relayed, but consider him day-to-day for the time being. In his place, Leury Garcia entered to cover center field.
