Eaton will miss his second straight game Monday because of a death in the family, but may be able to rejoin the team Monday night, the Chicago Sun-Times' Daryl Van Schouwen reports. It sounds like Eaton could be back in the lineup Tuesday, and possibly even available off the bench Monday. Meanwhile, Moises Sierra will get the start in center field.

Eaton missed Sunday's game due to family reasons, and he is not in the lineup Monday, CSN Chicago's Dan Hayes reports. There should be more available regarding Eaton's availability for the rest of the season later Monday, but for now he should be considered day-to-day.

Eaton said he plans to try to steal more bases in the final month of the season, MLB.com's Scott Merkin reports. "I definitely don't think I'm a 10-to-15 steal guy a year. I think I'm a 20-plus yearly. So, this month I'm hopefully going to try to put some pressure on some people and hopefully get those steals up to where I think I should be," Eaton said. "As much as everyone thinks that I've been in the league five years, I'm still trying to get comfortable." Given his tools, it is a bit surprising that Eaton only has 14 steals to go with his .377 OBP, so it's good to hear that he believes that there is room to improve. There's a big difference between a player saying they are going to do something and actually doing it, but he could be a sneaky source of steals down the stretch and heading into next season.

Eaton was ejected from Tuesday's game for arguing balls and strikes, the White Sox's official site reports. It actually wasn't apparent that Eaton had received his first career ejection until he did not take the field in the bottom half of the inning. He went 0-for-3 in the contest, which snapped a seven-game hit streak.

Eaton went 1-for-3 with a walk, run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's loss to Cleveland. Eaton has performed well in three games since returning from his oblique injury, going 4-for-11 with a couple of extra-base hits. The stolen base Thursday was his 13th of the season, and is a good sign that he is feeling healthy.

Eaton went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored Wednesday against the Indians. Both hits were of the extra-base variety, and each came against Cleveland starter Corey Kluber. Eaton has quickly made an impact since being activated Tuesday, going 3-for-8 with an RBI and three runs scored in his first two games back.

Eaton (oblique) was reinstated from the disabled list Tuesday. Eaton will return to the roster Tuesday, expected. He didn't take long to show he was healthy in his rehab assignment, collecting two hits including a double in his first game with Triple-A Charlotte. Eaton's return will require the White Sox to make a roster move, which will likely come at some point Tuesday.
