Conley gave up a hit and a walk while striking out one in two-thirds of an inning to record his first save of the season in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
The Marlins' bullpen remains a muddle when it comes to who might close on any given night, but Conley is firmly in the mix for high-leverage work. The lefty now has a save and a hold in 3.1 innings over four appearances with a 3:2 K:BB.

Conley (0-1) took the loss Friday against the Rockies, allowing one run on two hits in an inning of relief.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw took over to begin the seventh inning in a 1-1 game, and the Marlins were never able to get the run back, eventually falling 6-1. The team's closer picture got no clearer in this one, as manager Don Mattingly used all three of his presumed save options in non-save situations -- Drew Steckenrider emerges unscathed from the eighth, and Sergei Romo got hammered in the ninth. Conley, as the only lefty in the trio, should at least be assured of a handful of chances in matchups against left-handed batters, but all three should only be considered supplementary sources of saves at best until one of them emerges from the pack.

Conley struck out two and gave up a hit in 1.2 scoreless innings during Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw now boasts a 7:1 K:BB through 7.1 spring innings, with the only two runs he's allowed coming on solo shots. Conley should be a key part of the late-inning mix in the Marlins' bullpen this season, but whether that role leads to significant save totals, or a more Andrew Miller-like usage, remains to be seen.

Conley signed a one-year, $1.125 million contract with the Marlins on Friday to avoid arbitration, Robert Murray of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conley saw his first extended action out of the bullpen with the Marlins in 2018, after serving as a starter the previous three years. The 28-year-old had a 4.09 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 50:18 K:BB over 50.2 innings and is likely to begin the season in a middle relief role for Miami.

Conley picked up the save Monday against the Nationals after striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.
EDGE Analysis
Conley struck out the first batter of the inning and induced flyballs for the finals two outs of the ballgame. Drew Steckenrider was likely unavailable after being pitching in each of the last two games, so Conley was called upon in a save situation. The 28-year-old has 16 holds and three saves on the season to go along with a 4.37 ERA and 46 strikeouts over 47.1 frames.

Conley pitched a scoreless ninth inning Friday to record his second save of the season in a 1-0 win over the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
The last time the southpaw faced Atlanta he got tagged for five runs in two innings, so this was a definite improvement. Conley's 4.08 ERA on the season isn't great, but his 40:17 K:BB in 39.2 innings should keep him in the late-inning mix for the Marlins.

Conley (2-0) struck out two in a perfect seventh inning Monday to record the win in a 7-5 victory over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander's been impressive out of the bullpen since his return to the majors in mid-May, posting a 1.86 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 12:2 K:BB in 9.2 innings over nine appearances to go along with his two wins and a hold. Conley is developing into a key part of the Marlins' relief corps, giving him fantasy value in formats where high-K bullpen arms are worth rostering even if they don't provide saves.

Conley is envisioned as an Andrew Miller-like bullpen weapon by Marlins manager Don Mattingly, in large part because of his improved velocity in a relief role, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. "You see Andrew Miller, guys like that, in Cleveland, with that [arm] angle," Mattingly said. "He had trouble starting, but when you put him out in the 'pen, he became dominant."
EDGE Analysis
The team hasn't completely ruled out transitioning Conley back into a starting role down the road, bu the left-hander has certainly looked the part of a shutdown relief ace since getting called up from Triple-A New Orleans earlier in the week, reeling off three scoreless appearances with a 3:1 K:BB while averaging 94.9 mph with his fastball. The 28-year-old may not find himself as part of the closer mix in Miami, but he could still provide fantasy value in deeper formats if he develops into a high-K, high-leverage reliever capable of working more than one inning at a time.

Conley was recalled from Triple-A New Orleans on Friday, Matthew DeFranks of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conley was optioned to New Orleans before the start of the season after an unimpressive showing in spring training. The left-hander -- who turns 28 next week -- has similarly struggled at Triple-A this year with a 5.18 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and only 25 strikeouts across 40 innings (eight starts). The left-hander should be used out of the bullpen for the Marlins and is unlikely to provide much in terms of fantasy value.

Conley was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans on Friday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He logged a 5.40 ERA with three strikeouts in 10 innings this spring, and that mediocre performance resulted in him losing out on a spot in the big-league rotation for the start of the season. Conley isn't good enough to stash in most formats, as the bulk of his fantasy value hinges on quantity of innings and a chance at wins. Jose Urena, Dan Straily, Justin Nicolino, Odrisamer Despaigne and Sandy Alcantara are currently the favorites to break camp in the rotation, Craig Mish of Sirius XM reports.
