Sanchez (14-2) tossed six strong innings, allowing one run, five hits and three walks while striking out 10 Orioles in Tuesday's victory.
EDGE Analysis
After flailing a bit to begin September, Sanchez finally picked up his first win of the month with Tuesday's great performance. The 24-year-old's 10 strikeouts were the second-most of his career, slightly behind the 12 he fanned against the Tigers on June 7 earlier this season. Sanchez is currently slated to start the season finale in Boston on Sunday; however, that is subject to change. Having already managed the breakout star's innings this year, Toronto will certainly remove him from that slot if the game holds no playoff implications.

Sanchez allowed one run on four hits, struck out five and walked three in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
He pitched great, only running into trouble during the third inning, but the Blue Jays failed to support him with any runs until Jose Bautista's solo shot in the ninth. That sent the game to extras and allowed Sanchez to avoid the loss, but Seattle eventually won in the 10th. Sanchez remains 13-2 with a 3.12 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 145 strikeouts in 179 innings this season. He will pitch again Tuesday in an important matchup with the Orioles.

Sanchez (blister) is on Wednesday's official lineup card and will start in Seattle, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was considered probable for Wednesday's start earlier in the week and now owners can proceed knowing that he will in fact take the ball in the series finale against the Mariners. Sanchez has had an excellent first full season in the Blue Jays' rotation, notching a 3.17 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 140:55 K:BB in 173 innings, but he appears to be wearing down as his innings creep into uncharted territory. He has a 4.65 ERA and 25:16 K:BB over his last 40.2 innings. His previous high for innings in a season was 133.1 in 2014 and he threw just 102 innings in 2015, so it's understandable that his production has slipped as he should approach 180 innings after Wednesday's start.

Sanchez (blister) is listed as the probable starter for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old will take the hill for the first time in 10 days, starting opposite Felix Hernandez in the series finale against Seattle. Sanchez needed some down time after developing a blister in his last start, but the Blue Jays were taking measures to limit his innings down the stretch and may have skipped him once in September anyway. With the Blue Jays trying to hold onto a wild card spot, they could turn to Sanchez up to three times before the end of the regular season.

Sanchez (blister) will have his next start skipped, and is unlikely to rejoin the rotation until late next week, the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The decision comes as no surprise following Sanchez's early exit from Sunday's game versus the Red Sox. Manager John Gibbons indicated that the right-hander would be available for relief work, but will not rejoin the rotation until the end of the Jays' upcoming road trip. Look for Sanchez to return to his starting role sometime late next week, possibly in New York for the team's four-game series against the Yankees beginning Sep. 23.

Sanchez dealt with a blister issue during Sunday's rough outing against the Red Sox and his next start is too be determined, MLB.com's Gregor Chisholm reports. He matched a career high with six earned runs and his 3.1 innings Sunday were the shortest start since Apr. 11 of 2015.
EDGE Analysis
The exact nature of the injury can depend on the day for Sanchez. He dealt with a similar ailment, which has been described as a hot spot, in spring training and it resurfaced Sunday. The Blue Jays were already planning on pushing Sanchez's next start back a couple days in an effort to manage his workload, and that now seems like a certainty. Stay tuned for word of when he'll make his next start, but owners should be aware that he is not a lock to make a start during this upcoming week.

Sanchez didn't factor into the decision Tuesday at Yankee Stadium after allowing three runs on five hits over seven innings. He also walked two and struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez has lost just twice all year thanks to a combination of his own consistency and good run support from the Blue Jays lineup. He has managed a quality start in 10 of his last 13 outings, though his strikeout rate has dwindled to a meager 5.59 K/9 over his last six appearances. The 24-year-old right-hander will need to have his best stuff next time out against a potent Red Sox lineup.

Sanchez (13-2) dealt six strong innings Wednesday, allowing just one unearned run on five hits and three walks, earning the win. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez was pitching on 10 days rest, as the Blue Jays have been trying to limit their talented young right-hander's innings by skipping starts. While Sanchez was solid in his return, he did walk three batters and needed a season-high 112 pitches to get through six innings, in a way undoing some of the benefit gained from skipping a start. While he's been brilliant all season and now has a 2.88 ERA and 1.16 WHIP, the Blue Jays' limiting of Sanchez's innings could put a serious damper on his fantasy value as we head into the final month of the regular season.

Sanchez was recalled by the Blue Jays on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Blue Jays recalled their prized young pitcher Wednesday in advance of his start against the Orioles. Sanchez hasn't started at the big league level since Aug. 20 in an effort to keep him fresh before the playoff push. Sanchez has been extremely impressive on the road this season, notching a 7-1 record to go with a 2.70 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP over 86.2 innings.

Sanchez is expected to be recalled and start Wednesday versus Baltimore, Jays Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
With his return to the rotation, Sanchez will also be bringing back the debate surrounding his workload. The 24-year-old has already comfortably surpassed his previous career high and now sits at 156.1 innings pitched. With a 2.99 ERA, a 12-2 record, and an All-Star appearance under his belt, Sanchez is worthy of being included in the AL Cy Young conversation. His recent demotion to Single-A Dunedin was made simply in an effort to manage his workload. Owners of the right-hander should deploy him without hesitation immediately upon his return.
