Plaxico Burress (illness) was limited in Jets practice Wednesday. Burress is in no danger of sitting out Saturday, but limited to just four catches for 42 yards over his past three games, he'll be no more than a desperation WR3 against the Giants' struggling pass defense.

Plaxico Burress caught one pass for a 9-yard touchdown in the Jets' Week 15 blowout loss to the Eagles. Nnamdi Asomugha shadowed Burress all day to give the Eagles size on Plax. It worked. Burress' touchdown came in garbage time and he saw just three targets all day. Owners should be able to do better for a WR3 against the Giants next week. Burress has just four catches in the last three weeks.

Plaxico Burress was held without a catch on two targets in New York's Week 15 win over the Chiefs. Today was Burress' first zero-catch performance since Week 2. The Jets simply weren't passing, as Mark Sanchez attempted only 21 throws with New York racing out to a big early lead on the back of its defense and rushing attack. Burress isn't likely to be held without a catch again in Week 15 against the Eagles, but will remain a boom-or-bust WR3 for the rest of the fantasy playoffs.

Plaxico Burress was held to three catches for 33 yards in Sunday's win over the Redskins. Burress saw six targets and came down with one ball inside the five-yard line. However, Plax continues to be an asset to fantasy owners only when he can find the end zone. He's on pace for just 49.3 catches and 682.6 yards this season. Burress will be a weak gamble as a WR3 against the Chiefs next week.

Plaxico Burress (personal) rejoined the Jets for Tuesday afternoon meetings. Coach Rex Ryan gave Burress time off to do some charitable work in his hometown of Virginia Beach and in Harlem. It won't affect his status for Sunday's game against the Bills. When these two teams squared off in Week 9, Burress racked up 79 yards on five catches.

Plaxico Burress has been excused from the first two days of practice this week due to personal reasons. Burress is reportedly in the Virginia Beach area to visit his old high school and do some charity work for Thanksgiving. He's expected back at practice Wednesday. Despite a balky lower back, Burress is averaging 4.0 catches for 60.6 yards with a touchdown over the last three games.

Plaxico Burress (back) was held out of Jets practice Monday. The Jets held a number of veterans out of this early-week practice. They are on an especially long week after a Thursday night loss to the Broncos. Burress has not missed a game this season and should start against the Bills.

Plaxico Burress led the Jets with 64 yards on four receptions against the Broncos in Week 11. Plax burned Andre Goodman for 52 yards on three catches on the opening drive of the third quarter. Goodman got his revenge by jumping Burress' whip route for a pick-six two drives later. He was quiet the rest of the way. Though he's been playing better of late, Plaxico's fantasy output relies heavily on short touchdowns.

Plaxico Burress caught three passes for 39 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. A majority of Burress' eight targets came in the red zone, where he was able to make a nifty catch on a fade for his sixth touchdown of the season early in the fourth quarter. Burress' separation skills have all but eroded, but he's firmly established as New York's go-to receiver in the red zone. He should be a viable, if low-end, WR3 down the stretch.

Plaxico Burress (back) is active for Sunday Night Football against the Patriots. Although he missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday, Burress' status was never really in doubt. Coming off a five-catch, 79-yard performance in Buffalo and going up against the league's worst pass defense, Burress is Rotoworld's 27th ranked receiver for Week 10. Inactive for the Jets are QB Kevin O'Connell, WR Eron Riley, S Brodney Pool, RB Bilal Powell, TE Shawn Nelson, DT Kenrick Ellis and DT Martin Tevaseu.
