Kassian will be a healthy scratch for a second straight game Tuesday against the Jets.
Kassian has been out of the lineup for fourth out of the last eight games and looks like he could be on the trade block for the Canucks. Even if the team ends up finding a suitor, it's unlikely that Kassian would fetch much of a return, as he's produced only two goals and six points in 26 games this season.

In an appearance on TSN 1040 radio Friday, GM Jim Benning discussed trade rumours involving Zack Kassian. "If something comes up where we think it's a good deal for us or something, then we'll do it if we make the organization better."
It hasn't been a good season for Kassian, who has managed just two goals and five points in 22 games. Kassian hasn't really worked out in Vancouver, recording just 24 goals and 48 points in 178 games over the course of four seasons. At only 23 years of age, the potential is still there for Kassian to become a key fantasy contributor. With the constant controversy and speculation he faces in Vancouver, however, it might be best for fantasy owners if Kassian gets dealt to a new location, somewhere he can get a fresh start. Currently stuck in a bottom-six role, it's hard for the youngster to produce given his limited minutes.

Kassian appears to be a healthy scratch for Thursday's game against the Flyers, Brad Ziemer of the Vancouver Sun reports.
Kassian was on the ice for the Canucks' morning skate and didn't appear to suffer any sort of injury, so it's believed coach Willie Desjardins simply made the decision to give the winger a night off. Linden Vey is slated to assume Kassian's spot in the lineup.

Kassian (finger) was activated from injured reserve Friday, Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province reports.
Kassian received clearance for full contact a day earlier and skated as a member of the Canucks' third line at Friday's practice. After a strong season in 2013-14, Kassian has taken a step backward thus far, registering only two goals in 17 games. Now healthy, he'll look to get back on track with his return to the lineup Saturday against the Kings, with Linden Vey heading to the press box as a healthy scratch.

Kassian (finger) is unlikely to play Thursday against the Kings, Steve Ewen of the Vancouver Province reports.
Kassian was not involved in line rushes at morning skate, so it seems unlikely he returns to action Thursday. The right winger has not played in more than a month, last taking the ice Nov. 25 against the Devils.

Kassian said after Tuesday's morning skate that he is "very close" to a return and hopes to play in Thursday's game versus the Kings, Brad Ziemer of the Vancouver Sun reports.
While Kassian seemed optimistic about his condition, the Canucks appear to be less bullish about his chances of playing on New Year's Day. The winger, who will miss his 13th straight contest Tuesday due to the injury, has yet to receive clearance from doctors to resume playing.

Kassian (finger) skated on his own in full gear prior to Saturday's morning skate, Elliott Pap of the Vancouver Sun reports.
Though Kassian can't truly test out the strength of his broken finger simply by skating, the fact that he was back in full gear at least demonstrates that he's preparing for a forthcoming return. He's tentatively planning to be ready to go shortly after the Christmas break.

Kassian (finger) was moved to injured reserve Friday.
The winger was ruled out for the entirety of the Canucks' seven-game road trip that kicks off Friday, so by moving Kassian to IR, the team will be able to open up a roster spot for an extra forward. Kassian is expected to miss two-to-three weeks due to the finger injury.

Kassian has been ruled out for two-to-three weeks due to a finger injury, Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province reports.
Kassian will be forced to miss at least the next seven games with the Canucks, since he didn't join the team in Columbus for the start of their road trip. The finger injury appears to have stemmed from a slash he took during Tuesday's win over the Devils, and will more than likely result in his second trip to injured reserve of the season. The Canucks could choose to call up a forward from the minors in order to give them some more depth during the road swing.

Kassian took a slash to the arm in Tuesday's win over the Devils and didn't travel with the team to Columbus in advance of Friday's game Brad Ziemer of the Vancouver Sun reports.
Friday's game will mark the start of a seven-game road trip for the Canucks, so the fact that Kassian isn't traveling with the team wouldn't seem encouraging. It's possible he could rejoin the Canucks on the trip at some point if he's able to practice on his own back in Vancouver, but fantasy owners should prepare to be without his services for the next few games. The recent return to health by winger Alex Burrows lessens the Canucks' need to have Kassian available.
