Simmonds scored the first two goals of Tuesday's 4-0 win over Colorado -- the first shorthanded, the second on a power play.
EDGE Analysis
They came within 4:03 of one another in the first half of the first period, so Simmonds got his teammates off on the right foot -- and they never looked back. Stunningly, it'd been more than a month since Simmonds had picked up a multi-point game (Jan. 22 against the Islanders), but with 27 goals and 44 points on his season line, the veteran continues to be a valuable net-front presence and spectacular man-advantage producer for the Flyers. He's already cleared 20 power-play points for the fourth consecutive season.

Simmonds netted his 23rd goal of the season in overtime Saturday to deliver a 2-1 win over the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Simmonds' overall production is as solid as ever -- he's on pace for more than 30 goals and close to 60 points. And he now has a goal in each of his last two games after going scoreless in four coming out of the All-Star break. Simmonds will finish with more than 100 PIM and is a throwback to the old-school power forwards of the past.

Simmonds was named NHL All-Star Game MVP on Sunday, and followed that up by being chosen as the NHL's First Star of the Week on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
During Sunday's All-Star Game, Simmonds scored two goals in the Metropolitan Division's 10-6 win over the Atlantic Division and potted the game-winner in the final against the Pacific Division. By being named All-Star MVP, Simmonds became just the second Flyer to receive the honor, with Reggie Leach being the first in 1980. In addition to his All-Star Game exploits, Simmonds recorded two goals in two games earlier in the week, taking him to a tally of 21 goals in 50 games this season.

Simmonds scored his 20th goal of the season during Wednesday's win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran winger has now hit the 20-goal plateau in each of his past five full seasons, and alongside his excellent supporting statistics, Simmonds has emerged as a high-end fantasy asset because of his cross-category production. His role with the No. 1 power-play unit and ability to slide up and down the depth chart without suffering offensive declines makes him one of the more reliable scorers year in, year out.

Simmonds tallied a goal and an assist in a 3-2 victory over the Islanders on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran wing looked a lot better with his new linemates in their second game together. This was the first time since Oct. 30 that Simmonds had two even-strength points in the same game. His minus-17 rating is tough for fantasy owners to swallow, but Simmonds is right where he should be everywhere else with 19 goals, 36 points, 17 power-play points and 76 penalty minutes.

Simmonds skated on the third line with Brayden Schenn and Travis Konecny during Friday's practice, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly reports.
EDGE Analysis
Typically dropping down the lineup isn't a positive, but it isn't far-fetched to suggest the Konecny-Schenn-Simmonds trio is the most dangerous Philadelphia line. Additionally, Simmonds still has his net-front role with the No. 1 power-play unit t help pad his numbers. The veteran winger remains an elite cross-category contributor in all fantasy settings, and you shouldn't overreact to his linemate shuffle at five-on-five.

Simmonds picked up an assist and racked up seven PIM in Sunday's loss to the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
Quite the eventful night for Simmonds, who set up a Travis Konecny goal, lost his jersey and shirt during a fight with Kevin Bieksa and was denied by John Gibson in the shootout. The feisty winger remains a hugely valuable fantasy asset due to his 17 goals, 67 PIM and consistent power-play production. Make sure you keep riding the Wayne Train in your fantasy league as his multi-category production makes him one of the best all-around fantasy options.

Simmonds scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist during Wednesday's loss to St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
Now up to 17 goals and 31 points, Simmonds is well on his way to the third 60-point showing of his career and has produced at an 82-game pace of 68.7 points. Add his 98 shots, 60 penalty minutes and 74 hits, and Simmonds checks out as one of the best cross-category contributors in the league.

Simmonds went pointless in his last four games before the holiday break.
EDGE Analysis
Simmonds may have done more last Thursday against the Devils had he not spent so much time in the box. The physical power forward racked up 16 PIM in that game, while bringing his season total to 60 minutes spent in the sin bin. There's nothing to like about the minus-7 rating, but with 16 goals, 13 assists, and 14 points on the man advantage, Simmonds stuffs enough of the offensive categories to offset his lackluster play in the defensive zone.

Simmonds scored two goals for the second consecutive game Tuesday against Florida, netting one on the power play and one at even strength in a 3-2 overtime win.
EDGE Analysis
Simmonds accounted for both of the Flyers' regulation tallies, then ceded the spotlight to Jakub Voracek for the game-winner. He also struck twice in Sunday's win over Nashville, with these two contests suddenly propelling Simmonds into a tie for third in the NHL with 15 goals. The 28-year-old's eight power-play goals rank first, and as usual, he's providing a healthy complement of hits and PIM, albeit at a somewhat slower pace than last season. Considering that slight dip in physicality is accompanied by the best scoring rate of Simmonds' career, his fantasy owners will surely take it.
