Rask skated a season-high 20:04 Saturday against the Red Wings, collecting an assist in the 3-1 loss. He spent the majority of the game centering the top line between Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen.
EDGE Analysis
Rask now has five points (all assists) in his last six games, bringing him to 25 points on the season. That said, he is unlikely to crack the 40-point barrier as he did the previous two campaigns, but something in the mid-30's is still within reach, especially if he continues centering the top line with his team's two best wingers. He's worth a look in daily leagues right now.

Rask recorded two assists and four shots through 16:14 of ice time (2:39 with the man advantage) during Tuesday's 7-3 win over Los Angeles.
EDGE Analysis
After posting consecutive 40-point campaigns, this has been a letdown showing from Rask, especially since he appeared poised to take another step forward offensively. He's collected 12 goals and 10 assists through 55 games, which has him off the fantasy radar outside of deep settings. While there's potential for Rask to make more of an impact down the stretch, he's settled into a secondary-scoring role, so it's likely best to expect more of the same moving forward.

Rask scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
The tally was his 12th of the year, although Rask has only 19 points through 48 games. The 24-year-old typically hasn't been a better sniper than a playmaker in his career, so don't be surprised if his assist total catches up with his goal-scoring in the second half as he tries to record his third straight 40-point campaign.

Rask assisted on two goals in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Aside from Brock McGinn, Carolina's second line came out swinging as both Justin Williams and Rask collected two points in the victory. The Swedish center now has four assists in his last five games, bringing his point total to 18 throughout 47 contests in 2017-18. Rask will be hard-pressed to match his point total from last season (45) and is best left on the wire at this time.

Rask scored a third-period goal that proved to be the game-winner in Thursday's win over the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
With the score tied 1-1 late in the third, Rask grabbed a loose puck in front of the Caps' net and fired it home for a 2-1 lead that would eventually turn into a 3-1 victory, snapping the Capitals' impressive home win streak at 10 games. Now for the bad news -- unfortunately, it's been an utterly disappointing season for Rask, as the goal was just his 14th point of the campaign. We need to see him string together a few more games like this before we can start recommending him on a regular basis -- keep him on your fantasy bench until he starts showing more consistency.

Rask scored two goals -- one on the power play -- in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Rask's been able to ride a career-best 13.9 percent shooting percentage to 10 goals in 37 games, but he still has just three assists all season after averaging 26 helpers in his first three NHL campaigns. If the career 9.8 percent shooter starts to regress to the mean, there isn't much other production for owners to fall back on.

Rask scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Rask hasn't scored much this season -- he now has just nine points through 26 games -- but when he does, the points seem to come in bunches. Saturday was the first time he'd cracked the scoresheet in consecutive games all season, and six of his nine points have come in multi-point games. That said, we still don't see much fantasy value in Rask at this point. After cracking the 40-point plateau in each of the past two seasons, he's only on pace for something in the mid-20's this year. There are better fantasy options out there.

Rask scored a goal and added an assist in Sunday's shootout win over the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
This was the second game back in the lineup for Rask after he was benched for two straight games earlier in the week, so it was nice to see him finally crack the scoresheet. Prior to the benching, Rask had been riding a seven-game pointless drought and had been removed from power-play duty, so hopefully Sunday's two-point effort is a sign of better things to come. For now, he will continue to center the Canes' third line alongside Elias Lindholm and Brock McGinn.

Rask will be held out of Sunday's contest against the Islanders and appears to be a healthy scratch, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rask is in the middle of an absolutely abysmal season and was recently demoted to the third line for Carolina. After two consecutive seasons with 45-plus points, the 6-foot-2 Swede has managed just five points in 18 games this year.

Rask has been held off the scoresheet in 10 of 13 games this season, and has just a single goal in his past five contests.
EDGE Analysis
Consistency remains a very serious issue for Rask. In fairness, he did finish in the 45-48 point range the past two seasons, but he's a streaky scorer who tends to disappear for long stretches at a time. Furthermore, he's been bumped down to the third line recently, with Derek Ryan taking over as the team's second line center. This does not afford him much fantasy value in most formats, and he should be avoided at the present time.
