Tomas Kaberle scored his third goal of the season in Thursday's 5-3 victory over Edmonton.
Kaberle has been great since he was traded to Montreal. He has three goals and 22 points in 39 contests with the Canadiens. Fantasy owners thinking about drafting Kaberle next season based on his superb play since the trade should pay close attention to the situation surrounding Andrei Markov. If Markov is able to return in 2011-12 - and with so little time remaining that's a big if - it will be interesting to see how that impacts Kaberle's role with the man advantage. Power-play points are a big part of Kaberle's value and Markov's return might complicate that.

Tomas Kaberle registered two assists on Thursday.
Kaberle now has two goals and 20 points in 36 games with Montreal this season. He overall numbers still don't look that impressive because he got off to a rough start with Carolina, but the Canadiens seem to be a much better fit. He's not a bad buy-low candidate to keep in mind when you're drafting your 2012-13 fantasy squads.

Tomas Kaberle has a goal and 11 points in 18 games with the Montreal Canadiens.
Kaberle didn't live up to expectations in Boston or Carolina, but it looks like being traded back to Canada has done him some good. Kaberle has been getting plenty of playing time with the man advantage, but it's worth noting that seven of his 11 points with Montreal have been recorded while the teams were at even strength. Kaberle should average close to 0.5 points per game for the remainder of the season.

Montreal's acquisition of Tomas Kaberle was not well received among the faithful, but he got off to a good start in the blue, blanc et rouge. Tonight, he goes before the home crowd.
Kaberle's debut in a Montreal uniform could not have gone much better as he assisted on both goals in a 2-1 victory in Newark on Saturday. Kaberle, who was acquired from Carolina last Friday, plays his first game at the Bell Centre as a Hab tonight against the Islanders.

Tomas Kaberle registered two assists in Montreal's 2-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.
Kaberle, who was playing in his first game since the Canadiens acquired him in exchange for Jaroslav Spacek, now has six assists in his last three contests. It looked like he was turning a corner even before he came to Montreal and he's worth taking a chance on if he's available. Max Pacioretty and Erik Cole netted the two Canadiens' goals.

Tomas Kaberle should make his Canadiens debut in Saturday's game against the New Jersey Devils.
The Canadiens have struggled with the man advantage this season after being very effective in 2010-11. Kaberle's presence could help, although he's struggled since being traded from the Toronto Maple Leafs last season. All the same, this is a great opportunity for Kaberle to start fresh and he still isn't that far removed from his days as one of the league's best offensive defenseman. He's not a bad guy to roll the dice on if your desperate for a blueliner.

The Montreal Canadiens have acquired Tomas Kaberle from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Jaroslav Spacek.
Kaberle's stint with the Hurricanes was largely a disappointment, but he does have four points in his last two games. Kaberle's plus/minus should improve with the Canadiens and he should continue to get plenty of power-play ice time. Kaberle might have bounced back either way, but the change of scenery should help him.

The hits keep coming for Tomas Kaberle, as the Carolina Hurricanes decided to make him a healthy scratch on Sunday.
It looks like Kaberle is carrying over those bad times from the Boston Bruins trade (or maybe he was a more flawed player than most realized even before then). The offensive defenseman has a measly five points in 24 games this season and registered a -4 in his last two games. Maybe a benching will add some urgency to his game, though.

Tomas Kaberle was able to register a power-play assist, but his -3 was the number that told the real story against the Dallas Stars.
He hasn't been very useful since the Toronto Maple Leafs traded him last season, but it seemed like the Carolina Hurricanes' attacking offense had a chance to be a good fit. That really hasn't been the case so far as Kaberle only has three assists in 14 unproductive games for Carolina.

Tomas Kaberle is still trying to adapt to Carolina's system.
He had been skating with rookie blueliner Justin Faulk prior to getting Jay Harrison as his defense partner on Monday. Kaberle has no points and a minus-3 rating in three games to start the year despite taking eight shots on goal. "It's a little harder for a defenseman (with) a brand new partner," coach Paul Maurice said of Kaberle. "We play a different neutral zone and different forechecking system than he's used to playing, so there is a learning curve there."
