Tomas Holmstrom had a bad reaction to Synvisc after it was injected into both of his knees. Holmstrom wasn't able to skate on Monday and while he was on the ice Tuesday morning, he still missed Tuesday's game. "It's a big difference from yesterday," Holmstrom said on Tuesday. "It blows up (after getting shots) but it settles down. (The pain) started to bother me before the break. This was the only window (in the schedule), we had four or five days off (during the break)." Consider him questionable for Thursday's game.

Tomas Holmstrom was limited to just 7:27 minutes of playing time in his return from a groin injury on Sunday. Holmstrom missed five straight games because of the ailment. He has averaged just 12:19 minutes per game this season, so while his playing time might go up a bit over the next couple of games, it won't skyrocket.

When I do any sort of motion, I get this pain, a sharp kind of pain." He is projected to be out seven to 10 days after suffering a groin injury on Monday and is targeting next Tuesday's game versus Dallas for his return.
