Tomas Holmstrom (groin) has been placed on injured reserve by Detroit. "It's getting better," Holmstrom said after Thursday's practice. "It's tough, though. When I do any sort of motion, I get this pain, a sharp kind of pain." He is projected to be out seven to 10 days after suffering a groin injury on Monday and is targeting next Tuesday's game versus Dallas for his return.
