Aho (concussion) practiced Monday and is considered day-to-day. Coach Bill Peters said that if Aho is medically cleared he will play Tuesday against the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Aho has missed four games with his concussion issue. The Hurricanes will certainly hope the Finn can return Tuesday. Aho has 16 goals and 21 assists through 45 contests, and he was red hot before his injury. The 20-year-old had 14 points in 11 games before he went down.

Aho (concussion, lower body) is traveling with the team but not skating, and coach Bill Peters has said that he is probably looking at a return after the All-Star break, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
This new timeline would see Aho return to action on Jan. 30 at home against Ottawa, though when it comes to concussions, the timetable is never as clear as it might seem. Nevertheless, it's encouraging that the young winger is traveling with the Canes as they finish up their road trip prior to All-Star Weekend, but he'll have to get an on-ice session or two in before he can be cleared for the Tuesday immediately following the break.

Aho has sustained both a lower-body injury and a concussion stemming from his collision with Mark Giordano during Sundays contest, and will be out indefinitely.
EDGE Analysis
During the hit it looked like Aho and Giordano's knees collided, which is more than likely the lower-body injury the 20-year-old is suffering from. This is certainly unfortunate news for the youngster, who was enjoying a partial breakout season with 37 points (16 goals, 21 assists) in 45 games. Brock McGinn or Jeff Skinner should fill Aho's role on the first line and first power-play unit, and there isn't a timetable for his return at the moment.

Aho was helped off the ice after a collision with Calgary's Mark Giordano, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aho drove his knee straight in to Giordano's and immediately fell to the ice. When heading to the locker room, he wasn't able to put any weight on that leg so he likely won't return in this game. Thankfully, Carolina doesn't play again until Saturday in Detroit, but the severity of the injury is not yet known.

Aho scored a goal and added an assist -- both on the power play -- during Friday's 4-3 loss to Washington.
EDGE Analysis
The sophomore now has nine tallies and five helpers through his past 10 games, which has him up to 37 points -- 16 goals -- through 44 points for the campaign. Aho is probably going to cool off sooner than later, but with a go-to offensive role, the Finn is unlikely to suffer through any prolonged scoring slumps.

Aho celebrated his return to the lineup with a goal in 18:41 of ice time during Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
Aho didn't look bothered by the lower-body injury that forced him out early Saturday against Boston, as this was the most playing time he's seen in a game since Dec. 29. That early exit ended a six-game point streak, but the talented 20-year-old wasted little time starting a new one.

Per coach Bill Peters, Aho (lower body) is on track to play Tuesday night's matchup in Tampa Bay, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barring a negative development ahead of puck drop Tuesday night, Aho is on track to remain in the lineup without having missed any playing time. The young Finn was on an absolute roll prior to going down with the injury, recording 10 points, 23 shots on goal, and a plus-2 rating in the six games before, so his likely ability to stay involved would be a relief to the 'Canes and fantasy owners alike.

Aho (lower body) will be a game-time decision ahead of Tuesday's tilt against Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Aho was limited to just 5:59 of ice time versus the Bruins on Saturday, prior to getting hurt. Unfortunately, the winger's early exit ended a six-game point streak, during which he logged six goals and four helpers. If the 20-year-old is unable to give it a go, Brock McGinn should get a look in a top-six role.

Aho (lower body) will be re-evaluated Sunday, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Hurricanes will stop in Carolina for a two-day break between road matchups, and that's where Aho will be evaluated. Aho's next chance to hit the ice will be Tuesday in Tampa Bay.

Aho suffered a lower-body injury and won't return to Saturday's game against the Bruins, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
It appeared that Aho's right leg got caught in the ice and twisted in a funky fashion -- an ugly sight to see. Aho is currently leading the Hurricanes with 13 goals and 33 points through 40 games, as he has manned a top-six role with significant power-play contributions. More updates on the severity of this injury will likely be available after the game.
