Couturier scored two goals during Friday's game against the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Couturier's season was derailed by injuries last year, but he still posted a career-high 39 points through 63 games. Now firmly entrenched in a top-six role, and showing great chemistry with Jakub Voracek and Travis Konecny thus far, Couturier's true breakout could be in store this year. The pivot's fantasy stock is on the rise.

Couturier has been dealing with a Grade 2-3 shoulder sprain but would have attempted to dress for Game 7 if the Flyers had forced it, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Considering Couturier may have played in Game 7, it's pretty safe to assume he will be ready to go for the start of the 2016-17 campaign. The team may update his status when fully healthy in the offseason, but if not, expect one when the team returns to the ice in the fall for training camp. Coots finished the 2015-16 season with 39 points (11 goals, 28 assists) despite being limited to just 63 games, and may have a decent shot at improving that total if he can stay healthy again next year.

Couturier will miss two weeks with what's been labeled an upper-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
Couturier's injury was believed to be an A/C sprain in the left shoulder, and the scheduled two-week absence could certainly fit the bill. The diagnosis will likely cost him the remainder of the series against Capitals, and lessens the Flyers' chances of advancing without a key cog and two-way player. There's an outside shot Couturier could return for Game 7 of the first series should it go that far, but that bridge can be crossed if it reaches that point.

CSN Philadelphia's Tim Panaccio reports that Couturier will miss the remainder of the Flyers' first-round series against the Capitals due to an A/C sprain of the left shoulder.
EDGE Analysis
While no other outlets have reported the same fate, the Philadelphia Inquirer's Sam Carchidi believes the issue could cost him extended time. The team is expected to re-evaluate Couturier on Friday, at which point the team may reveal more information on his injury. If it does cost him a fair amount of time, it would deliver a big blow to the Flyers' chances of advancing past the Capitals.

Couturier will not return to Thursday's Game 1 against the Capitals due to an upper-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
While the issue is currently classified as upper-body, CSN Philadelphia's Tim Panaccio indicates the issue appeared to be related to his shoulder. Consider him day-to-day for the time being, but the Philadelphia Inquirer's Sam Carchidi surmises the injury could be long-term in nature. His next chance to play now comes Saturday for Game 2 in Washington, but expect the team to update his status further before then.

Couturier will be scratched for the regular-season finale Sunday against the Islanders, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that he along with a fair number of the other top forwards for the Flyers are out considering the team's locked into the playoffs. He should be good to go for Game 1, but Scott Laugton, Jordan Weal and R.J. Umberger will all draw in Sunday after sitting out Saturday.

Couturier assisted on a Jakub Varacek goal in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old took just two shots Sunday after firing five on Saturday. However, he did pick up his second straight point and fourth in five games. With 38 total points, Couturier sits just one shy of his career high. With Philadelphia fighting for a playoff spot, he will need to continue his hot play during the final week of the regular season.

Couturier dished a helper in Monday's 3-2 overtime win against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Couturier now has nine points in his last 10 games to go along with his five-game streak. He's clearly dialed in. He'll try to continue the streak when the Capitals come to Philadelphia on Wednesday. Couturier was blanked by the Caps in his first game against them this year, and Washington has allowed a league-low 2.32 goals per game.

Couturier dropped in a power-play goal and collected two PIM in Saturday's loss to Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Couturier has quietly strung together a point in four straight games, leaving him with 35 on the season. Despite missing a significant chunk of time due to injury, he still has a shot to best his career mark of 39 points set two years ago.
