Couturier won't play Saturday against the Sabres due to a lower-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
Couturier is considered day-to-day with his lower-body issue, so although he should probably be considered questionable at best for Sunday's game against the Jets, he should have a good shot at returning to action Wednesday against the Flames. The Flyers and fantasy owners will both hope Couturier's absence is limited to one or two contests, as he's been on a roll over the past month, racking up six goals and 15 points in 12 games.

Couturier has two goals, five points and 15 shots on net in the last five games.
EDGE Analysis
The shots on goal average in that span is a little skewed because he posted eight in one game. In fact, both his goals and three points came in that same game too, but Couturier is still trending in the right direction. He has seven goals and 16 points with a plus-4 rating in the last 14 games.

Couturier scored a pair of goals Friday, also adding an assist in a 4-0 win over New York.
EDGE Analysis
Couturier has been on a roll recently with 13 points in his last eight contests. The Flyers' No. 1 center has been held off the scoresheet just twice in the month of November and wasn't about to allow the Rangers to hold him down, firing a team-high eight shots on goal in the game. The three-point performance gives the 25-year-old Couturier 10 goals and 18 points in 22 games this season.

Couturier scored two goals and had an assist Saturday in a 4-0 win over Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
He was also plus-4. Couturier has come alive of late -- the points stretch his point streak to three games and six points (three goals, three assists). He has eight of his 11 points in his six games, so Couturier is hot. Make sure you are taking advantage.

Couturier scored a goal Thursday in a 6-3 loss to the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old center logged 21:16 of ice time, more than any forward on either team. Coming off a career-high, 76-point campaign Couturier's slow start continues to worry his fantasy owners. However a goal, even in a loss, could get him going. With the season just seven games old, it's still too early to panic.

Couturier is off to a bit of a slow start with just two goals in six games to open 2018-19.
EDGE Analysis
The center is playing more minutes than ever before, but his shot totals and faceoff wins are down as well. It's still too early to be really concerned about Couturier, who remember, is coming off major offseason knee surgery. But the slow start is still a reminder of how tough it might be for Couturier to get back to the 30-goal mark. He never had more than 15 goals in a season before scoring 31 in 2017-18.

Couturier (knee) is expected to play Saturday versus the Bruins, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
This will be the preseason debut for Couturier, who dropped a career-high 31 points (14 power play) and 45 assists to complement a plus-34 rating over a full season with the Flyers in 2017-18. Regarded as one of the top two-way players the NHL has to offer, Couturier should go in the early-to-middle rounds of most fantasy drafts.

The Flyers' brass hopes to have Couturier (knee) return for the Flyers' final preseason game Sept. 29 against the Golden Knights, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Couturier has recently been skating and partaking in scrimmages without discomfort, which is an encouraging sign as the preseason winds down. More clarity on his situation should arise as Saturday approaches, but he can safely be ruled out for Thursday's clash against the Rangers.

Couturier is participating in scrimmages and skating without any discomfort, Bill Beltzer of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although he isn't taking part in any contact drills, Beltzer also reports Couturier "has looked good all week." Couturier tore his MCL during the first round of the playoffs. Keep an eye on the Flyers center, but the expectation is he will be ready to fully go at the beginning of the regular season. Unless he suffers a setback, draft him as you normally would.

Couturier (knee) participated in an intrasquad scrimmage Wednesday, showing no "ill effects" of his injury, Sam Carchidi of The Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The two-way breakout performer has now been on the ice for three straight days, and this had to be the most intense session for him since he sustained the injury in an Aug. 10 charity match. It looks like Couturier has avoided a major setback, so don't hesitate to draft him as you normally would.
