Ellis (leg) is expected to play Thursday against the Ducks, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ellis suffered the injury after blocking a shot with his leg in Saturday's game against the Senators. The ailment was never considered to be overly serious, but the Predators ultimately decided to hold him out of Tuesday's matchup with the Lightning for precautionary reasons. His availability for Thursday's tilt against Anaheim should be confirmed prior to puck drop.

EDGE Analysis
Ellis didn't play the in Tuesday's game because of the leg injury, but his return to practice Wednesday bodes well for a potential return to the lineup Thursday against the Ducks. However, he should receive an updated status at some point prior to the game.

Ellis (leg) missed Tuesday's morning skate and likely won't play Tuesday night against the Lightning, NHL.com's Robby Stanley reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ellis left Sunday's game against the Senators after blocking a shot with his knee and was ultimately unable to return to the game. Because he was unable to take the ice for Tuesday's morning skate, it's hard to imagine a scenario where the 24-year-old defender is able to suit up for Tuesday night's tilt against Tampa Bay. If he is indeed unable to go, Victor Bartley will likely slot into Nashville's lineup in his absence.

Ellis picked up three assists, including two on the power play, in Sunday's preseason win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Ellis is a puck-moving defenseman with upside. He racked up 18 assists last season despite missing 24 games with a lower-body injury. Health permitting, he should be able to secure anywhere from 30-40 points in 2015-16.

Ellis set up Mattias Ekholm's second-period goal in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Blackhawks.
Ellis has registered an assist in three of his last four games, dating back to the Preds' April 11 regular-season finale. The team will need Ellis to take on a greater offensive burden for the remainder of the season with top blueliner Shea Weber's availability in question due to a lower-body injury.

Ellis scored a goal for the second consecutive game in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Avalanche.
After years of failing to live up to the lofty expectations heaped upon him following a successful junior career, Ellis is finally beginning to emerge as a bona fide offensive NHL rearguard. He now has 26 points in 56 games this season, and would likely be way ahead of the 27 points he scored last season were it not for a lower-body injury that kept him out for most of January and February. Ellis is still skating on the Preds' third defensive pairing, but his average ice time of 18:57 is almost a full three minutes more than the 16:04 he saw last season. He continues to represent good value in medium to deeper fantasy formats.

Ellis potted his sixth goal of the season in Saturday's loss to the Jets.
Ellis now has a point in back-to-back games since returning from a lower-body injury and has seven points in his last seven outings. The 24-year-old has hit the 20-point mark and is currently sporting a plus-12 rating, so if he's available, he's worth a look.
