The Flyers loaned Zepp to AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday, the team's official site reports. With Zepp headed to the AHL, the team has recalled fellow goalie Anthony Stolarz to back up Steve Mason.

Zepp was placed on waivers Saturday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports. Since the Flyers aren't able to assign Zepp to AHL Lehigh Valley until he clears waivers Sunday, look for the goalie to stick around in a backup capacity behind Steve Mason for Saturday's game against the Rangers. Once Ray Emery (lower body) is activated from injured reserve -- which could happen within the next few days -- Zepp would more than likely head back to the minors.

Zepp was pulled after allowing two goals on eight shots Thursday in a loss to Toronto. Steve Mason came on and stopped eight of nine, which ended up getting him the loss instead of Zepp. WIth Mason back now, Zepp's starts will dry up, and he could be sent back to AHL Adirondack, although the Flyers could also try to demote or cut Ray Emery.

Zepp is in line to start Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs, Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post reports. Zepp, who is 5-2-0 with a 2.80 GAA and a .893 save percentage in nine appearances to date, is thus on track to draw the start Thursday, though with Steve Mason nearing a return, Zepp's run as the Flyers' starter could be winding down.

Zepp allowed four goals on 35 shots Tuesday in a 4-1 loss to Carolina. The 'Canes got him a couple times on the power play, but they all count the same. Zepp looked to be picking up a little momentum after posting back-to-back wins over the weekend, but he certainly lost some momentum with this one.

Zepp will be in net for Tuesday's game against the Hurricanes, Randy Miller of NJ.com reports. Zepp was impressive in earning two wins over the weekend against the Predators and Capitals. He'll get the nod for a third straight contest as the team announced Ray Emery is dealing with a lower-body injury and Steve Mason not quite ready to return.

Steve Mason could return from injury within the week, but at 5-1-0 and with two impressive weekend showings, Zepp could take over the starting duties until then.
