Zepp allowed one goal on 26 shots in Wednesday's 1-0 loss to the Capitals. Zepp certainly played well enough to earn the victory, and could easily be 3-0-0 in just three appearances on the season. Despite his impressive play, he doesn't appear to be challenging Steve Mason for the starting gig quite yet.

Zepp will receive the start in goal for Wednesday's game against the Capitals, Sarah Baicker of CSN Philadelphia reports. Zepp will earn his second consecutive start after he was in goal during Monday's 7-3 win over the Flyers. As that score would indicate, Zepp benefited from some overwhelming offensive support, so it's not as though he keyed the team to victory in the outing. Nonetheless, with Ray Emery scuffling mightily this season, Zepp could end up assuming No. 1 goalie duties until Steve Mason (lower body) returns from injury. With a strong outing against the Capitals, Zepp will certainly state a case for more work.

Zepp stopped 21 of 24 shots in Monday's 7-3 win over the Lightning. Zepp wasn't spectacular, but he was solid enough against the league's top offense, and he didn't allow the second goal until the game was already well in hand with a 7-1 lead. He's now won both of his career starts and figures to compete with Ray Emery for starts while starter Steve Mason deals with an injury.

Zepp will start Monday's game against the Lightning. Zepp is back with the Flyers, with Steve Mason expected to be out up to two weeks. Zepp is a speculative play Monday, however, with the Lightning having won three straight games and sitting atop the Eastern Conference standings with 58 points.

Zepp was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday. Zepp will give the Flyers some insurance in net with Steve Mason (knee) possibly out a week. He had an earlier stint with the team, but was sent back to AHL Lehigh Valley, where he has posted a 3-0-0 record with a 1.90 GAA and .942 save percentage since being returned.

The Flyers assigned Zepp to AHL Lehigh Valley on Monday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Zepp picked up the victory in his NHL debut Sunday, but he will head back to the AHL with Steve Mason (back) returning to action Monday night.

Zepp made his NHL debut Sunday, stopping 25 of 28 shots in an overtime win over Winnipeg. The 33-year-old Rob Zepp becomes the oldest goalie to win his NHL debut since 1926. What a story. While Zepp will likely return to the AHL Phantoms once starter Steve Mason (upper body) returns from injury, Zepp could still see more action before being sent down. Expect him to backup Ray Emery during Mason's absence, with the chance of stepping in if Razor struggles or goes down with an injury.
