Coach Craig Berube said that Zepp would pick up a start for one of the Flyers' two weekend contests, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.Berube was unwilling to confirm which of his two goalies -- Zepp and regular starter Ray Emery -- he would use for either game. In any case, Zepp doesn't make for an especially enticing in play in daily formats, as it would be difficult for him to come away with the victory against two of the league's stronger teams in Nashville (Saturday's opponent) and Washington (Sunday). However, if Zepp ends up surprising and keeps the Flyers competitive, he could have an argument for overtaking Emery for primary netminding duties.

Zepp (leg) was recalled from AHL Lehigh on Monday.Zepp was initially skipped over for a promotion after starting goalie Steve Mason went down as he was dealing with a leg injury of his own, but he returned to action and grabbed a pair of wins for the AHL club over the past weekend. Ray Emery will still likely serve as the starter in Mason's absence, but Zepp will take over the backup duties from Anthony Stolarz.

Zepp (leg) has resumed practicing with AHL Lehigh Valley, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.Zepp would have been in line for a promotion to the Flyers after Steve Mason hurt his knee Sunday, but he suffered a leg injury of his own while playing with Lehigh Valley a day earlier. It appears Zepp's ailment is only a minor concern, as he could be on tap to start for Lehigh Valley for their game Friday. If all goes well during that outing, the Flyers could bring Zepp aboard for Sunday's game against the Sabres. If that scenario comes to fruition, Anthony Stolarz, who is currently serving as the backup to new No. 1 goalie Ray Emery, would return to Lehigh Valley to open up a roster spot for Zepp.

Zepp suffered a right leg injury Saturday while playing for AHL Lehigh Valley, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Though the NHL club is in need of an extra goalie after Steve Mason suffered a lower-body injury Sunday, Zepp's own ailment will take him out of the running for a promotion. Instead, it looks like 21-year-old Anthony Stolarz will get the call to Philadelphia, where he'll serve as the backup to Ray Emery for the duration of Mason's absence.

The Flyers have loaned Zepp to AHL Lehigh Valley, the team's official site reports. Zepp, who had been recalled by the Flyers on Jan. 11, heads back down to the AHL now that Steve Mason is back in the team's netminding mix. Meanwhile, Ray Emery remains the team's top backup.

Zepp allowed four goals on just 20 shots before getting the hook in the second period of Monday's 7-4 loss to the Islanders. Zepp was spared the loss as his mates fought back to tighten it up, but it was still the worst performance of his brief career. The 33-year-old has gotten four of the last five starts ahead of Ray Emery though, so when the injured Steve Mason returns Zepp could be in line to take over the backup duties.

Zepp will receive the start between the pipes Monday against the Islanders. Zepp picked up the victory in his last start Saturday despite allowing three goals on 27 shots. He has received three of the last four starts in net for the Flyers in the absence of Steve Mason, and may be making a push to stay on as Mason's backup when he returns.

Zepp picked up a win in Saturday's 4-3 decision over the Sabres. He made 24 saves. The former German league standout may be cementing a place as Steve Mason's backup given his strong play of late. He's now 3-1 in four starts and he's allowed 10 goals in those games. Short term, he can provide fantasy value in leagues. And maybe more given Mason's propensity for injury.

Zepp will man the net for the Flyers during Saturday's game in Buffalo. The Sabres are still licking their wounds after a 7-0 whipping at the hands of the Wild on Thursday night, so this could be a prime opportunity for both Zepp and his fantasy owners to take advantage. Ray Emery's shaky play of late has allowed Zepp to play more frequently than anticipated since his Jan. 11 call-up, and while he hasn't done anything especially remarkable, he probably represents the Flyers' best option in goal at the moment. With a steady outing against the hapless Sabres, Zepp should be able to solidify his standing over Emery on the Flyers' depth chart, at least until Steve Mason (lower body) returns after the All-Star break.

Zepp stopped nine of 10 shots in relief of Ray Emery in Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Canucks. While Zepp didn't see much rubber upon entering the game in the second period, he nonetheless prevented the damage from getting much worse in his 38:39 of action. With Ray Emery showing no signs of improvement, Zepp could emerge as the Flyers' primary netminder while Steve Mason (lower body) remains out of commission.
