The Rangers are still waiting for Rick Nash to break out in the postseason.
He led the team with 21 goals during the regular season, but he hasn't found the back of the net yet in the playoffs despite a team-leading 17 shots. Nash has one assist in four games, along with a minus-1 rating, but he should be able to break through eventually. The Rangers first-round series versus the Capitals is tied 2-2 with Game 5 set for Friday night back in Washington.

Rick Nash took part in Wednesday's practice after skipping Tuesday's skate.
Just an FYI as there was never much doubt that he would play in Game 4 on Wednesday. He skipped Tuesday's practice to rest his knee after banging it against the endboards on Monday.

Rick Nash was given a maintenance day Tuesday and did not practice.
Nash banged his knee on the endboards at the end of the second period in Monday's Game 3 but didn't miss any time and set up the Rangers' game-winning goal late in the period. Nash was quiet for most of Monday night after having his best game of the series in a Game 2 loss. The Rangers will need Nash to start scoring if they want to dig out of their 2-1 series hole.

Rick Nash set up Derek Stepan for the game-winning goal in Monday's 4-3 win over the Washington Capitals.
Nash appeared frustrated and overwhelmed at times during Monday's game and even injured his knee at the end of the second period. Thankfully for the Rangers, he delivered at the right time, dishing to Stepan, who beautifully deflected the puck over Braden Holtby's far shoulder. The Rangers will need more plays like that from the Nash and Stepan if they're going to win this series.

The New York Rangers worked on their power play Monday at practice.
The Rangers held two sessions Monday and the man advantage was a point of emphasis in the second skate. "Since the last lockout [in 2004-05], special teams have been the main part of the game," said Rick Nash, who was on the team's top unit. "So you win the special teams game and you have a good chance to win the actual game." Nash was joined by Derek Stepan and Ryan Callahan up front, with Brad Richards and defenseman Dan Girardi on the points. New York finished the regular season 23rd overall with the man advantage, while their first-round opponent, the Washington Capitals had the best power play in the league.

Rick Nash scored twice but the Rangers lost 4-3 to the Leafs on Monday night.
Even though the Rangers didn't come up with the win, the fact Nash is heating up now is a very good sign. The forward has picked up five goals over his last five games and has been a handful for defensemen. Derek Stepan had a goal and an assist, too.
