Rick Nash's status for Sunday's availability might be in question. Nash missed Saturday's skate for maintenance, but the Rangers also called up Chris Kreider Saturday afternoon. On top of that, Nash missed an event Friday night and the audience was told he was sick. We'll list Nash as day-to-day until more information is revealed.

Rick Nash did not practice Saturday. Exhale Nash owners. It was just a maintenance day for the big winger. He should be fine to play Sunday night.

Rick Nash earned a highlight reel assist during Tuesday's shootout win over Boston. He weaved his way through the Bruins defense and slid the puck across to Carl Hagelin while falling to the ice. Nash has seven helpers and 10 points in 12 games this season. He has also recorded 47 shots and a plus-7 rating.

Rick Nash enjoyed a superb night in the Rangers' 5-1 win over Tampa Bay Sunday. Nash not only picked up a goal and an assist in the victory, but he added five shots on goal and a plus-4 rating in what was his best performance as a member of the Blueshirts. Carl Hagelin also had a nice game with two goals and a helper while Ryan Callahan and Arron Asham found the back of the net as well.

Coach John Tortorella broke up the Rangers' top line of Rick Nash, Brad Richards and Marian Gaborik during Thursday's 3-0 loss. Torts was trying to snap his team out of a funk in what he called the team's worst game of the season. It remains to be seen whether the change will be permanent, but with the Rangers struggling to find consistency, owners should expect lines to change before, during and after games. Still, all three stars are still playing major minutes and Nash in particular has been very strong despite not having the point total to prove it. Now might be the perfect time to buy low on Nash if his owner is wavering.

Although the New York Rangers are 0-2-0 to start off the season, Rick Nash is off to a good start. Nash has a goal and an assist in two games this season. Rangers coach John Tortorella said Nash "has probably been our best player." Nash should have a great season and rack up plenty of points once the Rangers get over their early season jitters.

Rick Nash scored his first goal as a New York Ranger Sunday, but it wasn't enough as the Blueshirts dropped a 6-3 decision to Pittsburgh. Nash scored a beautiful short-handed marker in the third period to narrow the deficit to 5-3, but Pittsburgh added an empty-netter to salt the contest away. Nash has recorded a point in each of his first two games this season. Derek Stepan and Brad Richards each recorded two assists in the losing effort.

Rick Nash skated with the team's top power-play unit on Thursday. He played more toward the boards on five-on-fours, but was closer to the net when the team practiced their two-man advantages. "It's just a matter of finding some chemistry and understanding each other's game," Nash said. Ryan Callahan and Marian Gaborik joined him up front, while Brad Richards and Michael Del Zotto worked from the points. The Rangers finished 2011-12 with the 23rd ranked power play, so they are hoping that stacking their top unit and adding Nash to it will help lead to improvement.

Rick Nash is used to facing high expectations and he says it won't be any different for him when he begins his career with the Rangers. "I've had expectations on me my whole career, since being a high draft pick and going to a club that had never made the playoffs," Nash said Monday. "I think professional athletes like the pressure, they embrace it. And it's no different here [for me]." Nash commented that there might even be slightly less pressure in New York than he faced in Columbus because the team already has so many leaders whereas he was forced to carry the load as the captain of the Blue Jackets.
