With the game already out of hand, Copley made his NHL debut in relief of the struggling Jake Allen. Neither goalie is worth the gamble in fantasy at this point.

Copley was recalled to serve as the Blues' backup goaltender for the foreseeable future, as Brian Elliott is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks with a lower-body injury. Copley has been solid in the AHL this season, compiling a 12-12-2 record with a .907 GAA and 2.73 GAA in 28 appearances. The 24-year-old netminder may get a chance to make his NHL debut at some point during Elliott's absence.

Copley didn't make an appearance since being recalled by the Blues on Feb. 1, only serving as a backup to Brian Elliott. Copley is a big goaltender who found success in the AHL last season, but has struggled with the Wolves during this campaign (2.75 GAA, .905 save percentage). Unless there is an injury to either Elliott or Jake Allen, Copley isn't likely to receive another call-up this season.

With Jake Allen still sidelined with an injury, the Blues have decided to recall Copley to serve in a backup role behind Brian Elliott. It's unlikely the netminder will see much action, but if he does manage to get between the pipes, it would represent his NHL debut.

Copley was traded to the Blues along with forward Troy Brouwer and a 2016 third-round draft pick in exchange for forward T.J. Oshie, NHL.com reports. After finishing up his career at Michigan Tech last spring, the undrafted Copley saw his stock skyrocket last season at AHL Hershey in 2014-15. He posted an outstanding 2.17 GAA and a .925 save percentage in 26 games for Hershey, and will now give the Blues an intriguing developmental prospect at AHL Chicago. If he continues to excel in the minors this coming season, Copley could eventually usurp Jake Allen or Brian Elliott for one of the two goalie jobs in St. Louis.

Copley was reassigned to AHL Hershey on Monday, according to a team press release. Copley was in town to back up Braden Holtby while usual backup Justin Peters was in the minors on a conditioning stint. With Peters' recall, the 22-year-old will return to the AHL ranks where he has a 6-3-1 record to go with a 2.00 GAA and .921 save percentage in 11 games with Hershey this season.

Copley was recalled from AHL Hershey on Friday. Copley will serve as the the backup to Braden Holtby for Saturday's game in Detroit before heading back to Hershey. He was only promoted to allow Holtby's normal backup, Justin Peters, to pick up two starts in the minors over the weekend.

Copley will likely be recalled from AHL Hershey to serve as Braden Holtby's backup Saturday, Mike Vogel of the Capitals' official website reports. The Caps seemingly want Justin Peters to get some more work, so the two netminders will temporarily switch places, allowing Peters to start a couple of games in the AHL. Copley's stint in the NHL doesn't figure to last long, and he probably won't even take the ice.
