Copley turned aside 26 of 28 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Copley had a rather easy night versus Minnesota, being staked to multiple leads throughout the night. Since giving up half a dozen goals in his first start of 2018-19, the Capitals' backup has conceded eight in four games. Copley has won his last three starts, and his record is now 3-1-1 with a 2.94 GAA and a .901 save percentage. Braden Holtby figures to get the start Wednesday in Winnipeg.

Copley will be between the pipes for Tuesday's road tilt versus Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Copley hasn't seen a ton of action this year, but when called upon, is 2-1-1 with a .898 save percentage. The netminder will look to make it three straight wins when he squares off with a Minnesota squad that is scoring 3.18 goals per game. By utilizing Copley on Tuesday, the team is saving Braden Holtby for Wednesday's matchup with Winnipeg.

Copley will be between the pipes at home versus the Oilers on Monday, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Considering starter Braden Holtby sat out just two games to start the season and the club has divisional matchups with Pittsburgh and Columbus on the horizon, it shouldn't come as a shock to see Copley get a chance in the crease. In three appearances this season (once in relief), the youngster posted a 1-1-1 record with a 3.55 GAA and .882 save percentage.

Copley made 27 saves in a 4-3 shootout victory over the Flames on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
It was his first NHL win. Copley has played 145 AHL games and five NHL games since 2014-15. The native of North Pole, Alaska made several point-blank saves late in the third and then stymied three of four players in the shootout. Copley's playing time behind Brayden Holtby will be limited, but on the solid Caps, he'll be a decent spot starter when he does take the blue paint.

Copley will start in goal against host Calgary on Saturday, Samantha Pell of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Copley was terrific upon relieving a struggling Braden Holtby in his Oct. 19 showing against the Panthers. Washington's primary backup set aside 18 of 19 shots in that one, and now he'll start against a Flames team that will be eager to prove that its crushing 9-1 home loss from the Penguins on Thursday was an aberration. Copley reportedly will be countered by Mike Smith, who accounted for six goals allowed against the Pens, so give the 26-year-old netminder a look if you believe that past results are indicative of future outcomes.

Copley allowed six goals on 36 shots faced during Thursday's 6-0 shellacking at the hands of the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the pitiful statistics, Copley made some excellent saves and was more the victim of poor play in front of him than anything else. The 26-year-old will give way to Braden Holtby on most nights, but the Capitals seldom play this poorly, so don't be afraid to give the Alaskan a look whenever he gets a spot start.

Copley will get the road starting nod against the Devils on Thursday, JJ Regan of NBC Sports Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
The news all but confirms Braden Holtby will be between the pipes for the Stanley Cup Final rematch with Vegas on Wednesday. The 25-year-old Copley will be making his first start of the 2018-19 campaign and should probably be expected to see between 20-25 games this season behind Holtby.

Copley steered away all 42 shots in a 4-0 preseason win over the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Copley had a rough showing in his last preseason game, allowing four goals on 24 shots. This time around was much different, and it was against legit NHL talent, since the Blues played a squad that looks nearly identical to their projected Opening Night roster. The Capitals still have two more preseason games for Copley to solidify himself as Braden Holtby's backup.

Copley will be the road starter versus the Blues on Tuesday, JJ Regan of NBC Sports Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Todd Reirden also said that Copley will play the full game, which could be a sign that he is in line to be the backup to Braden Holtby. Philipp Grubauer is gone, so somebody needs to step into the role. It will end up being Copley or Vitek Vanecek.

Copley surrendered four goals on 24 shots before giving way to Vitek Vanecek in Thursday's 5-2 loss to Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Copley failed to withstand a first-period onslaught from Montreal, surrendering three goals on 15 shots in the opening frame. Things settled down from there, but the 26-year-old native of North Pole, Alaska still didn't do much to help his case in the quest to earn the backup job behind Braden Holtby this season.
