Budaj (leg) remains on injured reserve and won't dress for Saturday's game against the Flyers, though his return is imminent, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
It looks as though Tampa Bay's interim backup Louis Domingue will remain on the parent-club roster for at least one more game while Budaj rounds out his recovery. The Czech backstop, who has gone 3-3-1 with a dismal 3.80 GAA and .878 save percentage, hasn't played at all in 2018.

According to coach Jon Cooper, Budaj (leg) is still weeks away from returning to action, Bryan Burns of the Lightning's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Budaj was originally expected to be ready by mid-February, but it appears fantasy owners will have to wait until closer to early March for his potential return. Even once he is healthy, the backup netminder is unlikely to see more than a handful of starts in order to rest Andrei Vasilevskiy for a postseason run. For now, Louis Domingue will continue to serve as the No. 1 in Tampa Bay.

Budaj (leg) is expected to require 6-8 weeks from his Dec. 29 injury, meaning his return will slot in around mid-February, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Budaj was originally handed a week-to-week label, but now the timeline has been clarified. Louis Domingue will continue to back up Andrei Vasilevskiy in his stead, while Budaj will continue to nurse his ailing leg. Even when healthy, Budaj has played poorly this season in his minimal role, posting a 3.80 GAA and .878 save percentage over seven games.

Budaj is considered week-to-week after sustaining a leg injury Friday, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Budaj -- who has already been placed on injured reserve -- will be replaced by Louis Domingue in the backup role. Considering how heavily the Lightning have relied on starter Andrei Vasilevskiy, the veteran Budaj probably won't miss that many games that he otherwise would have started.

Budaj will be out indefinitely with his lower-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
Budaj favored his left leg after getting plowed over in the cage by Flyers forward Scott Laughton on Friday night, but the team is using the more nebulous lower-body label in reference to the backup goalie's ailment. Either way, Budaj is on injured reserve with no clear timeline for a return, and the Bolts have called up Louis Domingue to serve as an emergency goalie behind Andrei Vasilevskiy.

Budaj (leg) will be placed on injured reserve, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The leg injury that knocked Budaj out of Friday's game against the Flyers could be significant, as the Bolts sent the backup netminder to injured reserve in a flash. Ex-Coyote Louis Domingue was called up from AHL Syracuse in a corresponding move, but he won't be worth adding in fantasy as an understudy to breakout performer Andrei Vasilevskiy, who currently leads the league with 24 wins in 31 games.

Budaj made 29 saves on 33 shots before exiting with a leg injury in the third period of a 5-3 loss to Philadelphia on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Things weren't going well for Budaj before the injury, as he'd conceded 16 goals in his past four starts. With Lightning coach Jon Cooper saying postgame that the team expects to call up a goaltender to replace him and Tampa about to travel for a five-game road swing, it's a reasonable guess that he stays sidelined until the Bolts return home on Jan. 9. Even if he returns before then, he's not all that useful as even a spot starter on your roster.

Budaj sustained an apparent injury to his left leg midway through the third period of Friday night's game against the Flyers, NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tampa Bay's backup tender was taken out by Scott Laughton, who violently crashed into the cage. Andrei Vasilevskiy -- who leads the league in wins (24) and is second in GAA (2.09) and save percentage (.934) -- replaced Budaj, and it looks like Vasi will finish the contest.

Budaj will start between the pipes in Friday's home game against the Flyers, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Budaj has struggled in limited action this campaign, registering an ugly 3.67 GAA and .878 save percentage in six appearances, but the Lightning have played extremely well in front of him, so he's managed to compile a respectable 3-2-1 record over that span. He'll look to pick up a third straight victory Friday in a home matchup with a slumping Flyers team that's lost three consecutive games.

Budaj allowed five goals on 37 shots against the Avalanche, but the good news is that was enough to win, as the Lightning captured a 6-5 victory Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old received just his sixth start Saturday, and it went about as well as his first five went. The Lightning even spotted him a 4-0 lead, but Budaj yielded four third-period goals to make things interesting. Budaj came into the night 2-2-1 with a .881 save percentage and 3.40 GAA and somehow, those totals got worse despite a victory. Budaj played very well in place of an injured Jonathan Quick last season for the Kings, but since joining the Lightning around the 2017 trade deadline, he owns a .886 save percentage in 13 appearances.
