Budaj will defend the net Sunday against the Jets, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Budaj was forced into action Friday after Jeff Zatkoff (lower body) was forced out and will now start between the pipes after losing two straight outings. Budaj has been streaky of late, but will get a chance to turn things positive Sunday against a Winnipeg club that's had a mixed bag of results recently.

Budaj allowed two goals on 15 shots after relieving Jeff Zatkoff (lower body) late in the second period of Friday's loss to the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Not only did Budaj enter the game unexpectedly and cold, he also played Thursday against Montreal. The 34-year-old goalie has been treading water quite well with a 7-4 record, a .915 save percentage and a 1.96 GAA entering Friday, but fantasy owners will want to keep an eye on the potential for the bottom to fall out. For now, Budaj remains a depth option for a goaltending stable.

Budaj allowed three goals on 22 shots in Thursday's loss to host Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Budaj has been one of the best stories in hockey, as he's fashioned a shiny 1.96 GAA in 12 games, despite being the third netminder to dress for the Kings this season after starting goalie Jonathan Quick and primary backup Jeff Zatkoff sustained groin injuries earlier in the campaign. Budaj's loss to the Habs, winners of nine straight home contests, likely isn't enough to have him relegated to a backup role now that Zatkoff reportedly is healthy. After all, Budaj worked for two consecutive shutouts before this latest loss.

Budaj will start between the posts Thursday against the Canadians, Marc Antoine Godin of La Presse reports.
EDGE Analysis
Budaj has been spectacular his last two outings, putting away 43 of 43 shots en route to consecutive victories. The 34-year-old netminder will have a tough task ahead of him when he faces a Canadians' team that boasts the NHL's best record (11-1-1).

Budaj was perfect Tuesday, stopping all 19 shots in a 7-0 beatdown of the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
It was Budaj's second straight shutout in what was his 10th consecutive start after he blanked the Flames last Saturday. He's been absolutely fantastic while Jonathan Quick and regular backup Jeff Zatkoff have dealt with groin injuries, posting a 7-3-0 record with a 1.86 GAA and save percentage, so if for some reason he's still lingering on your waiver wire, it's probably time to pounce.

Budaj will make his 10th consecutive start on Tuesday when the Kings take on the Maple Leafs, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jeff Zatkoff is healthy enough to return to the Kings' lineup but will watch Tuesday's game from the bench for good measure. Budaj has put forth a solid effort as the starter in Los Angeles, so it's unclear at this point how he and Zatkoff will split starts now that the latter's return is imminent. Either way, Budaj will make his case on Tuesday against a good Toronto offense that is scoring 3.1 goals per game.

Budaj notched a 24-save shutout in a 5-0 win over the Flames on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Budaj picked an excellent time to log the 12th shutout of his career with goalie Jeff Zatkoff nearing a return from a groin injury. The Kings stumbled out of the gates this season with Zatkoff taking over the starting role for an injured Jonathan Quick but have played better lately with Budaj between the pipes. A crucial early-season road trip may have the team looking to stick with Budaj in goal for the time being but he'll need to play well with Zatkoff back in the mix shortly.

Budaj's in line to start Saturday night against the visiting Flames, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider separately reports that Budaj was the first goalie to leave the ice following the morning skate Saturday, which further plays to the idea that he'll be the one to lead his team out for warmups and field shots from the Flames in the upcoming contest. Budaj owns a 5-3-0 record to go along with a 2.31 GAA and .902 save percentage -- those numbers don't jump off the page, but are decent coming from a guy who made just one appearance with the parent club in 2015-16.

Budaj turned away 21 of 23 shots en route to a 3-2 overtime victory against the Penguins on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
If Budaj reminded fantasy owners of his season-opening status as an AHL goalie in his poor Tuesday start, this one should serve as a reminder of how strong a team the Kings are and how well they can make up for his shortcomings. Aside from the two goals Sidney Crosby put through Budaj, the 34-year-old faced few major challenges, but he made the saves he needed to. He'll probably be in net again when the Flames come to town Saturday.

Budaj will start in goal Thursday, Jon Rosen of Fox Sports West reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old looked bad on Tuesday, allowing four goals on 16 shots, but has looked serviceable so far this season while replacing the injured Jonathan Quick and Jeff Zatkoff. Unfortunately for him, it won't get any easier on Thursday as he faces the reigning Stanley Cup champion Penguins.
