Wins have been elusive for the veteran lately, as he has just one in his last five outings (1-3-1) despite posting a spectacular .950 save mark in that span. Still, it's awfully hard to complain about the stats he's offered fantasy owners who plucked him off the waiver wire early this season.

The Czech netminder will have to be sharp once again if he wants to tap into the win column as he'll be facing an Oilers' club that ranks ninth in goals scored per game (2.86).

Budaj was incredible in each of his previous four starts with a .976 save percentage and 0.73 GAA, but he only registered two wins. Additionally, allowing two goals to the Canucks should have put him in position for another victory. The Kings aren't exactly an offensive juggernaut, though, so Budaj will have to earn most his wins. He's currently producing as a solid No. 2 goalie in the majority of seasonal leagues and should continue his strong play until Jonathan Quick returns (groin).

As a 34-year-old who's known as a mediocre NHL netminder at best, Budaj has widely been expected to backslide as he continues holding down the lion's share of starts in the Kings' net. Every time it seems like he's finally falling off, he bounces back impressively -- this time, with just three goals allowed on 121 shots over a span of four appearances. Incredibly, the Kings have found a way to lose two of those games for him, but that doesn't detract much from the surprisingly considerable fantasy luster Budaj's built up.

Budaj will start in the blue paint Thursday agaisnt the Predators.

He'll look to ride that hot streak in net into Thursday's matchup against a Nashville team notching 3.38 goals per game and posting a 1.25 average goal differential at home this season. While Budaj has been solid, the matchup may be a difficult one for him and the Kings.
