The Red Wings have not lost at home in seven weeks. They have also scored four or more goals in every game at the Joe the past month. Moral of the story: don't bet against Detroit when the game is in Michigan.

Pavel Datsyuk stayed hot on Tuesday by scoring a goal and registering an assist. Datsyuk has recorded at least one point in 11 of his last 13 contests, including six points in his last three games. Datsyuk reached the 30-point mark on Tuesday, putting him in a tie for 17th place in the race for this season's Art Ross Trophy.

We'll probably give him tomorrow off and go from there." He should be considered very probable for Saturday's contest.

"It's not a tear, nothing like that." The Red Wings were leading 5-1 heading into the third so Babcock obviously thought the lead was safe. Stay tuned and hope Babcock was telling the truth.

Since Pavel Datsyuk described his performance as "awful," he's scored six goals and 14 points in nine games. He's only been held off the scoresheet in one contest over that span. With his early season problems behind him, Datsyuk should be able to maintain a roughly point-per-game pace for the rest of the season.

Pavel Datsyuk scored one goal and assisted on another to spark the Red Wings to a 4-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Detroit Wednesday night. The veteran center recorded his seventh goal and 14th assist of the season. Jonathan Ericsson also had a goal and assist for the Wings but it was Ericsson's first goal and third assist. The Red Wings never trailed in the game. After taking a 2-0 lead in the first period, the Lightning tied the game at 2-2 in the second but the Wings moved ahead in the third on goals by Tomas Holmstrom (fourth) and Darren Helm (third).

Pavel Datsyuk scored a goal in regulation in Detroit's 3-2 shootout victory Friday. Datsyuk added another goal in the shootout. Valtteri Filppula scored his fifth goal of the season at 12:43 of the first period. Henrik Zetterberg, Ian White, Todd Bertuzzi, and Johan Franzen each registered an assist for Detroit.
