He hasn't skated since taking an elbow to his jaw on Saturday against Ottawa and has been experiencing concussion-like symptoms. It should be noted that the Red Wings aren't calling his injury a concussion and he was able to ride a stationary bike on Tuesday.

Detroit is expected to know more about the status of Pavel Datsyuk's head injury Tuesday at practice. The Red Wings have been treating Datsyuk like he suffered a concussion, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. He was held out of Sunday's game as a precaution after he was hit in the jaw by the elbow of Ottawa defenseman Jared Cowen on Saturday.
