Postma has been given a qualifying offer by the Jets, the Winnipeg Sun reports. Despite huge offensive success in the AHL -- Postma has 68 points in his last 87 games in the minors -- the Albertan blueliner has never been able to win himself more than bottom-pairing minutes with the Jets so far. As a result, he's never scored more than nine points in an NHL season. The Jets' depth on the blue line makes it likely that Postma doesn't enjoy a large role in 2015-16 either. However, he'll surely be recovered from the lower-body injury he suffered in March by the time training camp rolls around.

Postma (unspecified injury) will miss a number of weeks, according to Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun. With just six points and 16 PIM in 42 games to date, Postma is not a major fantasy factor, but his absence nonetheless represents a hit to the Jets' blue line depth.

Postma scored a power-play goal, went plus-1 and added two PIM in Thursday's shootout loss to the Avalanche. A nicely well-rounded game for the offensively gifted 25-year-old, who's rolled up 78 points over his last 97 games at the AHL level, but has been limited in his NHL scoring largely thanks to a lack of ice time. With Jacob Trouba and Dustin Byfuglien ahead of him at right defense, he's going to continue to find his minutes limited in the short term, but Postma's been seeing consistent power-play time of late, which should pique the interest of owners in deeper formats.

Postma picked up a pair of assists in Saturday's preseason win over Calgary. Postma struck on a first-period power play, blasting a rocket from the point that was redirected by Blake Wheeler past Flames' goalie Jonas Hiller. Even though it was only his first game of the preseason, Postma was very impressive, recording a plus-2 rating in 20:30 of ice time. The 25-year-old blueliner is expected to slot in on the Jets' third defensive pairing in 2014-15. He has never surpassed nine points in a season, but that's likely due to the fact he has never played more than 34 games. Postma's play on the power play Saturday makes it very possible that we could see him on one of the team's man advantage units this season.

Postma is dealing with an undisclosed injury, the Winnipeg Free Press reports. He was held out of Monday's exhibition against the Oilers and is considered day-to-day. Postma is expected to be a regular on the Jets' defense, likely as a third-pairing skater.

Paul Postma was an unexpected addition to the lineup on Wednesday night. "One of the trainers called me and told me I might be going tonight," said Postma, who had just stopped at a Starbucks when his phone rang. "It was one of the crazier phone calls I've ever got, but it ended up working out." He wasn't prepared to play, but he registered two assists in Winnipeg's 5-4 overtime win over Colorado. Postma got to play because Zach Bogosian was injured during the pregame warmup.

The Jets have recalled Paul Postma from St. Johns of the AHL but he won't play Saturday against the Blues. Postma was on a conditioning assignment following being sidelined due to a bloot clot. in four games with the IceCaps he registered six points. Postma has some offensive upside but he probably won't have much of a fantasy impact this season.
