Patrick Kane sniped the only goal in the Blackhawks' 2-1 setback against the Ducks on Friday night. Kane's torrid stretch continues. The forward now has points in eight straight games and 15 points during that stretch. Altogether, Kane has 18 goals and 42 points on the year. Marcus Kruger chipped in with the helper.

Patrick Kane added two assists to his team-leading 41 points in Chicago's 2-0 victory over Calgary on Tuesday. Kane now sits tied for third in the league in scoring, behind Sidney Crosby and Chris Kunitz. He's been a stud in all categories aside for PIMs, and there's no reason to believe he'll slow down as the season winds down. Continue riding the speedy sniper. Nick Leddy and Brent Seabrook recorded the goals for Chicago.

Patrick Kane's days of double-shifting might not be over. The superstar right winger could see more double duty when the Blackhawks face the Kings on Monday night as Marian Hossa remains sidelined with an upper-body injury that a source said is to his shoulder. "(Hossa's) doing all right," Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said after practice Friday. "Hopefully he'll get on the ice on Sunday. He's progressing."

Patrick Kane is currently the leading scorer in the Western Conference with 38 points (16 goals, 22 assists) in 30 games. The top-four slots belong to a pair of Pittsburgh Penguins - Sidney Crosby and Chris Kunitz - and Steve Stamkos and Martin St. Louis of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Kane has played responsibly defensively as well this season and owns a plus-11 rating. "I feel that if I can work hard to get the puck back, I can do more things when I have the puck, that I can make a lot of plays," he said. "Just trying to work hard defensively not for my own sake, but maybe to show some other guys on the team that if you work that hard defensively, you can get chances the other way. And it's a big part of our team game."

Chicago superstar Patrick Kane, who has had a terrific season, was extremely disappointed after he and the Blackhawks squandered a lead in the third period and dropped a 4-2 decision to the Ducks in Anaheim Wednesday night. Chicago has lost just twice this season when leading after two periods. Both of those losses came against the Ducks. "It's not fun," said Kane, who was on the ice for all of the Ducks' goals and registered a -4 rating on the night. "It was a tough game for us to lose. We had the lead. It's not something we've done this year."

Patrick Kane might rank among the most frustrated Chicago Blackhawks after a 4-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday. Despite collecting an assist, Kane probably would like to have tonight's game back. He registered a -4 rating, meaning he was on the ice for every Ducks goal. He also had a little skirmish with Saku Koivu at the end of the game.

Patrick Kane knows that the Anaheim Ducks can't be taken lightly. The Ducks rank second in the Western Conference and will face Chicago on Wednesday. "They're a good team. As well as we've been playing they've been right there, hiding in the shadows, having a great season, too," Kane said. "If we weren't having the year we're having, there'd be focus and attention on them. They're a big team, and it'll be a great test for us." The Ducks have been able to fly under the radar a bit from a national perspective because of Chicago's historic points streak. However, they've both been juggernauts in the Western Conference this season and right now look like the two Western teams to watch in the playoffs.

Patrick Kane played a team high 22:30 minutes on Monday as he was double-shifted once Marian Hossa left the game with an upper body injury. It was the fourth most time that Kane has played this season and his goal and two helpers give him 37 points on the season including 10 in his last four games. "(Kane) didn't mind," coach Joel Quenneville said. "I asked him a couple of times when he looked like he might have been out of breath and a couple of times he even laughed at me for asking him the question. He likes to go and he had the puck a lot." Kane is a must start in all fantasy pools, unless you are in an enforcer pool.

Patrick Kane scored a goal and added two assists in the Chicago Blackhawks' 5-2 victory over the Avalanche in Colorado Monday night. Not to be outdone, Jonathan Toews equalled Kane's outing with a goal and two assists himself. Both of the Hawks' superstars were also +3 on the night. For Kane, the goal was his 16th of the season while his assists were his 20th and 21st. Toews scored his 14th goal of the season and picked up his 14th and 15th assists. Brent Seabrook had a goal and an assist for Chicago and Jimmy Hayes (his first of the season) and Andrew Shaw chipped in with a goal each.

The Chicago Blackhawks are taking a couple of days off practice this week. They took Monday off and will also be off the ice on Tuesday. "It's big for us, for sure," Kane said. "To have a few days to just relax before going on the road again, it'll be good to regroup and get away from the rink for a few days and then get back at it when we go to Columbus." The Blackhawks start a four game road trip in Columbus on Thursday.
