Patrick Kane was interviewed by David Letterman on Wednesday.
Kane spent a fair amount of time talking about the Stanley Cup itself. "It's unbelievable ... You know, we've been, you know, parading around Chicago the past couple nights, and wherever that thing is, people tend to want be there and to be around it," Kane said. "It's what we believe to be the coolest trophy in sports. It's, you know, unbelievable to look at. I mean, it feels like, you know, you're lifting 35 pounds, but it feels like nothing when you're lifting it, especially on the ice after winning." Chicago will hold a parade on Friday to celebrate the Blackhawks' Cup winning season.

LeBron James congratulated Patrick Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks on Twitter on Monday night.
James, like Kane and the Hawks, won his second NBA title last week and took to Twitter and Instagram to send a congratulatory message to the 2013 Conn Smythe winner. James wrote: "Congrats to 88pkane and the Chicago Blackhawks on winning the Stanley Cup #WhatAFeeling #NothingLikeIt." The tweet also included a link to a photo of a Blackhawks jersey with James' name and his No. 6 on the back.

Patrick Kane was awarded the 2013 Conn Smythe Trophy.
Kane didn't score the Stanley Cup winner like he did four years ago, but the Buffalo native was huge in the Western Conference finals and all throughout the Cup final. Kane edged out teammate Corey Crawford for the award and is the third straight American-born Conn Smythe winner, which is awarded annually to the player deemed to have had the best overall postseason. Kane finished the playoffs with nine goals and 19 points in 22 games.

The Chicago Blackhawks want to win the Stanley Cup on enemy ice Monday, just like in 2010.
The Blackhawks defeated the Philadelphia Flyers four games to two, winning Game 6 in Philadelphia. "You know, it's a similar feeling, especially having
the series tied 2-2, taking Game 5 at home and coming on the road for Game
6," Kane said. "But you've got to be careful. You saw a couple years ago when Boston was
down 3-2 and they won at home (in Game 6) and then won Game 7 in Vancouver. We know this
team is capable of coming back. For us, I know it's a big game, but you want to play it like it's any
other game. Play the way we have all season, and try to pull one out here
on the road."

Patrick Kane had a goal and an assist in Chicago's 6-5 overtime victory on Wednesday.
Kane now has seven goals and a team-leading 17 points in 21 contests. He had been relatively quiet in the finals, but meshed well on a line with Jonathan Toews and Bryan Bickell. It wouldn't be surprising to see the trio back together for Game 5.

Patrick Kane is confident that he can get going again offensively.
"You have to be confident in your abilities at this stage," he said. "I feel I've had a pretty good season to date and can do some more out there, too. It's always nice when you feel like you're getting a few chances, but you always feel like you can do more." Kane concluded the Western Conference Finals with four goals in two games, but has just one assist in three contests versus Boston in the Stanley Cup Finals. He is expected to start Wednesday's game alongside Jonathan Toews and Bryan Bickell in an effort to spark the Blackhawks' offense.

The Blackhawks know they have a tough task ahead in wrestling back the momentum from the Bruins.
The Bruins are coming off an overtime win and are now on home ice. Patrick Kane believes its a welcome challenge to try to steal that momentum back. "I guess the main thing is to always keep it (their game) simple. If you can
do that, usually you can take away some of their momentum," Kane said. "I think right now they do have it, especially after the last overtime
period where it seemed like they had a lot of chances compared to ours; they got the winning goal, too. It's something we'll look forward to getting back in Game 3."

Patrick Kane said he felt like the Chicago Blackhawks players owed the front office for keeping the team together last offseason.
The Blackhawks finished fifth in the West last season and then lost to the Coyotes in the first round of the playoffs. While that doesn't sound too bad, it came a year after they finished eighth in the conference and there was talk of full-on complacency after the young Hawks won the Stanley Cup in 2010. Kane and his teammates certainly delivered this, setting a home wins record right out of the gate despite the lockout and eventually clinching the No. 1 overall seed before reaching this season's Cup final. For his part, Kane led the team in goals (23), assists (32) and obviously points (55) in 47 games in the regular season. The former first overall pick also has six goals and 14 points in 17 playoff games.
