Eaves will return to action for Tuesday's game against the Canadiens, Mark Stepneski of NHL.com reports.
Eaves, who hasn't played since Dec. 2 with a lower body injury, was nearing a return last week and is good to go after getting some extra time off over the All-Star break. The 30-year-old has eight points through 19 games, and should return to his usual role on the team's third or fourth line.

Eaves (lower body) said Tuesday that he's ready to resume playing, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Any return looks like it will have to wait until after the All-Star break, as Eaves hasn't been activated in advance of Tuesday's game against the Bruins. Eaves will likely occupy a spot on the Stars' third or fourth line once he formally returns to the lineup.

Eaves (ankle) should be ready to return to action in about a week, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
It looks like Eaves will make a return in the sixth week of his six to eight week recovery time table. Eaves mentioned that he doesn't believe the ankle injury will affect his speed, so he should be close to 100% when he makes his return. Eaves has tallied eight points through 19 games with the Stars this season.

Eaves (ankle) will miss four-to-eight weeks but will not require surgery, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.
Eaves' initial timetable slated him to miss four-to-six weeks but has been extended on the back end to eight. He will likely continue to target a mid-January return date, but the injury could cause him to miss a little longer than first expected.

Eaves suffered a broken ankle Tuesday and is expected to miss four-to-six weeks, the Associated Press reports.
The Stars previously categorized Eaves' ailment as a lower-body injury, but this report provides more clarity on his condition. Eaves was placed on IR on Wednesday and will now target a return in mid-January. Curtis McKenzie was called up prior to Thursday's game against the Red Wings to replace Eaves on the 23-man roster.

Eaves (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports.
Eaves took a shot off his right ankle in Tuesday's loss to the Maple Leafs and was seen sporting crutches after the game. The Stars' quick decision to move Eaves to IR suggests a rather lengthy absence could be in play, but no timetable for his return has been provided.

Eaves left Tuesday's game against Toronto with an lower-body injury and will not return, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Eaves took a shot to the right ankle area in the second period of the contest and wasn't able to put much weight on his leg while exiting the ice. The Stars should be able to provide further word on his condition once the medical staff offers their assessment.

Eaves (lower body) practiced Wednesday and appears set to reenter the lineup Thursday against the Coyotes, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Coach Lindy Ruff seemed to suggest Tuesday that Eaves was ready to play, but he ended up sitting out that evening's game against the Hurricanes for precautionary purposes. After serving largely in a fourth-line role for the Red Wings and Predators the last few seasons, the 30-year-old has surprisingly seen occasional duty in the Stars' top six this season. He's produced two goals and five points over his 13 games.

Eaves (lower body) was on the ice at morning skate but appears likely to sit out Tuesday's game against the Hurricanes.
It appears coach Lindy Ruff is leaning toward using Colton Sceviour as a replacement for the injured Ryan Garbutt, but Eaves should be back in the lineup by the end of the week. "He's close to getting ready," Ruff said. "He hasn't skated a lot, but was back on the ice and if he doesn't play [Tuesday], he'll play on Thursday."

Eaves (lower body) didn't practice Friday, but his injury isn't serious, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Eaves suffered a lower-body injury in Thursday's game against the Kings, and with the news that Eaves isn't ready to skate, it seems more likely than not he will miss Saturday's contest. The team should provide a more definitive answer on the subject at some point before the game.
