Sundqvist went plus-1 and added a helper in Tuesday's win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Sundqvist had a hand in the Blues first goal of the game, as he forced a turnover in the defensive zone and set up Ivan Barbashev in the slot. The 24-year-old was frequently a healthy scratch last season and suited up for just 42 games, but he's played all 21 contests since returning from an upper-body injury and has seven points to show for it. His spot on the fourth line still is unlikely to change with three established centers ahead of him.

Sundqvist scored a goal in Friday's 4-1 win over the Golden Knights.
EDGE Analysis
Sundqvist now has four goals and an assist in nine games, and three of those scores have come against the Golden Knights. Unfortunately, the Blues don't play the Golden Knights again until March, and Sundqvist's place on the fourth line keeps him out of the fantasy realm. Still, Sundqvist's five points this year ties the career high he set last season through 42 contests, so it appears he's developing well with St. Louis.

Sundqvist logged just 8:33 of ice time in his first game back from a concussion suffered during the preseason.
EDGE Analysis
Considering he is slated for a fourth-line role, the fact that Sundqvist was on the ice for less than nine minutes probably has nothing to do with his return from injury. The Swede figures to max out around 10 minutes per game, unless he can secure a top-six assignment.

Sundqvist (upper body) will return to the lineup Thursday against the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
Sundqvist hasn't played in a game since the Capitals' Tom Wilson knocked him out of a preseason contest. The 24-year-old pivot beats out rookie Robert Thomas for a spot on the fourth line, but fantasy owners shouldn't expect much out of him as he had just five points in 42 games last season and won't touch to power play in this matchup.

Sundqvist (upper body) is healthy and could suit up versus the Blue Jackets on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
According to the NHL media site, Sundqvist is still listed on injured reserve, but the club should make the necessary transactions prior to Thursday's clash. Even though he is in contention for the lineup, the center may still find himself watching from the press box as a healthy scratch.

Sundqvist skated with the team for the first time since suffering multiple upper-body injuries in the preseason finale against the Capitals, Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sundqvist is on long-term injured reserve, so he won't be eligible to return until November. Getting a good sweat in is a good sign for the 24-year-old's recovery after getting ran over by the Capitals' Tom Wilson, who received a 20-game suspension for the hit. Once Sundqvist's healthy, there's a lot of moving parts to determine whether he'll stick with the big club, including Robby Fabbri (groin) and Nikita Soshnikov (concussion).

Sundqvist (upper body) has specifically been placed on long-term injured reserve rather than the seven-day injury list, according to CapFriendly.
EDGE Analysis
By shifting Sundqvist to IR, the Blues reportedly save an additional $700,000 against the upper limit of the salary cap. Unfortunately, it also means that the depth center won't be able eligible to return for at least 10 games and 24 calendar days. As such, we're looking at an early November return for Sundqvist, provided he's healthy by then.

Sundqvist (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Sundqvist has no timeline for his return, but the IR designation makes it a lock that he'll miss at least the first two games of the season.

Blues coach Mike Yeo expects Sundqvist (upper body) to be out "a while" after exiting Sunday's preseason contest, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sundqvist was on the receiving end of a nasty open-ice hit, courtesy of Tom Wilson. Having to be helped off the ice, it appeared as though the injury was not one that would be cured with a hot shower. Bound for the minors, it looks as though Sundvist will start the season on the shelf.

EDGE Analysis
Sundqvist took a vicious open ice hit from Capitals winger Tom Wilson and had to be helped off the ice. There is no word yet on the severity of the injury, but updates should be forthcoming in the coming days.
