Smith will be in net for Tuesday's contest against the Blue Jackets, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
Smith is coming off of a dreadful January in which he went 3-6-2 and gave up at least five goals in four outings. He'll draw a favorable matchup against Columbus, but his overall struggles to the tune of a 3.49 GAA and .888 save percentage make the 32-year-old an unreliable option for fantasy owners.

Smith was lit up for five goals on 20 shot attempts in Saturday's loss to the Senators. He was pulled from the game with 17:45 remaining in the third period, giving way to backup Louis Domingue.
Just when Smith seemed to be turning the corner in a dreadful season, he experienced yet another steep backslide. The 32-year-old has given up five or more goals in a game a whopping nine times this season, making him highly toxic to those counting him for ratio stabilization. The early removal from Saturday's game may have provided Smith with sufficient rest to prepare for Sunday's match against the Canadiens, but even if he garners the start, there's little reason to feel confident about using him.

Smith will man the net for Saturday's game against the Senators, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
Coach Dave Tippett remained undecided on whether Smith or backup Mike McKenna would draw the start for the second game of the Coyotes' back-to-back Sunday versus the Canadiens. He finally broke a six-game losing streak with a strong outing his last time out against the Maple Leafs, but was fortunate to catch them while their offense continues to sputter. The Senators aren't a juggernaut, but could put enough shots on goal to make Smith a weak starting option across most fantasy formats Saturday.

Smith stopped 24 of 25 shots he faced Thursday in a win over the Leafs.
Smith has had consecutive good starts coming out of the all-star break, stopping 63 of 67 shots (.940 save percentage). It's a two game sample, so caution is warranted considering how terrible he has been this season, but it was around this time last season that Smith put together his best play. Perhaps the break allowed him to figure something out.

Smith will be in the net for Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
Smith has shown signs of improvement of late, but it still hasn't been enough for him to break his losing streak, which is now at six games. The sagging Leafs, losers of seven straight in their own right, could provide a soft landing spot for Smith, who needs the confidence boost perhaps more than any goalie out there. Smith's 7-20-4 record, 3.49 GAA, and .889 save percentage over 32 games this season rarely makes him playable at this point.

Smith stopped 39 of 42, but absorbed a 4-3 shootout loss Tuesday in Philadelphia.
A strong outing for Smith, but it still goes down as his sixth consecutive losing effort. Still, he's posted save marks of .900 or better in three of the last four games, so he's got something to build on.

Smith has been confirmed as the starter in goal for Tuesday's game against the Flyers, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
Smith will man the net for the Coyotes, while Ray Emery assumes the opposite crease for the Flyers. It's the first game of a five-city eastern road trip for the Coyotes, who actually sports a near-.500 record against the other conference (5-6-1) this season. The next week might present a rare opportunity to pick up wins for Smith, whose record sits at just 7-20-3 entering the second half.

Smith is projected to start Tuesday's game against the Flyers, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
After trading Devan Dubnyk to the Wild prior to the All-Star break, the Coyotes effectively committed to Smith as their No. 1 goalie for the rest of the season. While his usage should be heavier than most other netminders the rest of the way, it will be hard for fantasy owners to extract much value from Smith while he sits on a sub-.900 save percentage for the season. Ideally, he should be kept out of active lineups until he starts to notice some sustained success.

Smith made 45 saves Tuesday against the Blackhawks, but also allowed six goals en route to a 6-1 defeat.
On the one hand, it's hard to blame the guy when he gets 51 shots put on him, but on the other hand, Smith has been patently awful this year, so it's not hard to consider this game yet another mark against him. He's 0-4-1 in his last five starts and has now been tagged for four or more goals a ridiculous 13 times in 30 starts. That's how you end up with a 7-20-3 record at the All-Star break.

Smith is slated to start Tuesday's game against Chicago, Craig Morgan of Fox Sports Arizona reports.
Smith owns a 7-19-3 record, with a 3.43 GAA and .887 save percentage to date, so he's obviously a speculative play against the Hawks on Tuesday.
