Neuvirth will miss between 1-to-2 weeks with his leg injury, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Philadelphia's backup goalie is on injured reserve, and now we have a timetable for Neuvirth's return. He's been decent in limited action this season with a 2.65 GAA and .915 save percentage through eight games, but the Czech has only added two wins to the season ledger. Look for the Flyers to lean more heavily on starter Brian Elliott with Yale product Alex Lyon a possibility for some spot starts within the next week or two.

Neuvirth -- who was placed on IR Wednesday -- is dealing with a leg injury, per freelance sports writer Tim Panaccio
EDGE Analysis
Considering Neuvirth has logged a mere eight games this season, his absence is unlikely to affect all but the deepest of formats. In those prior appearances, the netminder is 2-5-1 with a less than stellar 4.21 GAA and .867 save percentage. Alex Lyon was called up from AHL Lehigh Valley to serve as the No. 2, but don't be surprised to see the Flyers lean heavily on starter Brian Elliott.

Neuvirth was placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Czech goaltender hasn't played since Nov. 29, so it's assumed that he suffered the injury during practice. Additionally, no information is known as to the nature of Neuvirth's injury or how long he's expected to remain on the injured list, though it should be given in the coming days. Brian Elliott will shoulder additional goaltending duties in Neuvirth's absence.

Neuvirth allowed three goals on 34 shots in Tuesday's loss to the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
It was the Flyers' ninth consecutive loss, and much like the previous ones, you can't really fault the goaltender here. Neuvirth kept the team in a game in which they looked completely disengaged and only managed one goal. The Czech netminder drops to 2-5-1 on the season with a .915 save percentage. Brian Elliott has been seeing the majority of crease time for Philadelphia, but even when Neuvirth does get the nod, it's best to avoid him until the Flyers figure things out.

Neuvirth will guard the goal in Tuesday's home game against the Sharks, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth struggled last Tuesday against the Canucks, surrendering four goals on 22 shots before getting yanked in the second period of that contest. The Slovakian netminder will look to bounce back Tuesday night in a home matchup with a San Jose team that's 5-2-1 on the road this season.

Neuvirth was pulled Tuesday against Vancouver after giving up four goals on 22 shots.
EDGE Analysis
Brian Elliott had taken over the crease in Philadelphia and this was Neuvirth's chance to make a statement. Unfortunately, the Canucks had other plans. The Czech netminder looked out of place Tuesday and was pulled late in the second period. He had given up four goals in his last outing and this shaky showing won't earn the praise of coach Dave Hakstol. Neuvirth's .916 save percentage isn't awful, but the 29-year-old has struggled when called upon of late and doesn't make for a great fantasy play on a Flyers team that has now lost five straight.

Neuvirth will defend the goal for Tuesday night's matchup with the Canucks, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
After serving as the backup goalie for the Flyers' last five games, Neuvirth will return to the starter's net looking to bounce back from his last poor outing. The Czech keeper has been fairly inconsistent when in net, as his last three starts consisted of a 33-save shutout sandwiched between two bad starts that saw him allow at least four goals in each. He'll look to get it going against a Vancouver squad that is averaging 2.55 goals per game this season.

Neuvirth made 23 saves in Saturday' 5-4 shootout loss to Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
It was a bit of a clunker, especially after his shutout win over the Blues on Thursday. Despite that, Neuvirth's numbers are significantly better than Brian Elliott's, yet Elliott continues to see more game action. A little stability in Neuvirth's game and he would earn more starts.

Neuvirth will work between the pipes as Saturday's home starter against the Avalanche, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colorado is the superior scoring team (3.25 goals per game) in this contest, and it's skated away with wins in two straight games, so Neuvirth will have his hands full. He did pitch a shutout his last time out, though, denying 33 shots from a highly competitive Blues squad on the road.

Neuvirth stopped all 33 shots he faced in Thursday's win over the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth has played quite well in five appearances this season, but has had a hard time coming away with victories. He turned in a sensational performance Thursday to snap the Flyers out of a two-game losing streak and earn his first shutout of the season. Brian Elliott is assumed to be the starter in Philadelphia right now, but he hasn't really impressed this season, so Neuvirth could see a heavier workload in the near-future. With a .941 save percentage thus far, Neuvirth could be worth a look right now, especially if he turns this recent outing into a hot streak.
