Neuvirth left Saturday's game against the Devils on a stretcher after collapsing on the ice, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was a very scary moment in Philadelphia when Neuvirth collapsed in his own crease while the puck was on the other end of the ice, but thankfully, he was sitting up and speaking to trainers before being taken off on the stretcher. We'll be sure to update the 29-year-old's status as we learn more about what happened, but in the meantime, Anthony Stolarz, who arrived late to Saturday's game after his emergency recall, will take over in net.

Neuvirth will patrol the crease Saturday as the home starter versus the Devils, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth has been in goal about once a week down the stretch, with the limited playing time likely a byproduct of a five-game losing streak that remains active. Philly needs an all-out miracle to make it to the postseason, though Neuvy can confide in the fact that New Jersey's offensive attack is rather lackluster, ranking 26th in road scoring at 2.23 goals per game.

Neuvirth made 20 saves on 21 shots but that wasn't good enough, as the Flyers fell to the Blue Jackets 1-0.
EDGE Analysis
Although it's great to see Neuvirth post his first strong start in more than a month, it was wasted because the Flyers couldn't solve Sergei Bobrovsky. Neuvirth hasn't put together a good season, but he came into Saturday with a .926 save percentage during day games and that will only improve after Saturday. If owners need him as a stream option, he's trustworthy in the afternoon, but Neuvirth doesn't provide much else value.

Neuvirth will defend the cage Saturday afternoon, facing the Blue Jackets on the road, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Flyers are no stranger to matinees, as this will be Neuvirth's sixth day appearance in 27 contests. He's gone 2-1-1 with a 2.11 GAA and .926 save percentage in day games this season, which is remarkable considering that he's at a 2.91 GAA and .887 save percentage on the season. Still, the Blue Jackets are tied with Nashville in home scoring at 3.22 goals per contest, meaning Neuvy could be in for a wild ride.

Neuvirth gave up three goals on 32 shots in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
In his first game since signing a two-year contract extension, Neuvirth was pretty good, if not quite good enough. He'd ridden the bench four straight times while Steve Mason carried the load, but we all knew that wouldn't last forever. If he gets the call, Neuvirth is startable in certain spots, like when the Flyers visit the Devils next Thursday.

Neuvirth will assume the road net for Thursday's start against the Maple Leafs, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Flyers rewarded Neuvirth with a two-year, $5 million contract extension only to park him on the bench in favor of Steve Mason for the following four games. However, Neuvy sailed to a victory against the Buds on Jan. 26 upon halting 27 of 28 shots, so that likely was on the mind of Flyers coach Dave Hakstol when he contemplated who to put in goal for this next contest. The Maple Leafs snapped a five-game losing streak with a home win over the Red Wings on Tuesday, and Neuvirth should see plenty of rubber with upcoming opponent averaging 32.7 shots per game, good for third in the league.

Neuvirth agreed to terms on a two-year, $5 million contract extension Wednesday, Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The move to shore up Neuvirth long term could mark the end of Steve Mason's time in Philly. The 28-year-old Neuvirth has started nine of the Flyers' last 11 outings and despite some struggles -- a 3.61 GAA in his last five contests -- appears to have taken over the No. 1 role.

Neuvirth made 25 saves in the Flyers 4-2 loss to the Penguins in the Stadium Series game.
EDGE Analysis
His record dropped to 10-9-1 with the loss. Neuvirth has been porous of late, allowing four or more goals in three of his last four starts. But his performances have been queasy for much of the season. Neuvirth entered Saturday night with a save percentage well below hockey's Mendoza line (.900).

Neuvirth was named the starting backstop for Saturday's Stadium Series clash with the Penguins at Heinz Field, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
A subject of trade rumors along with complementary backstop Steve Mason, Neuvirth will head between the pipes for the sixth consecutive outing. If the 28-year-old decides that he wants out of Philly, impressing in the outdoor game versus the league's top offense would be ideal; as it stands now, he likely isn't inspiring much confidence in his 2.84 GAA and .888 save percentage through 23 contests.

Neuvirth saved just 25 of 29 shots during Wednesday's loss to Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Facing Washington's juggernaut offense is never a friendly fantasy situation, and relying on Neuvirth was ill-advised Wednesday. He has grabbed a stranglehold of the Philly crease by allowing two goals or fewer in seven of his previous eight outings, but his .911 save percentage during the stretch speaks more to the Flyers limiting opponents than Neuvirth's play. Expect Steve Mason to receive another look sooner than later, and neither goalie should be considered a reliable fantasy option at this stage of the game.
