Maxime Talbot's Le Tournee des Joueurs will kick off their series of exhibition contests on Thursday night. "It's a way to keep in shape and raise some money for charity," said Talbot, who is organizing the event along with Philadelphia teammate Bruno Gervais. "We hope to play twice a week on Thursday and Friday nights. We've had a lot of arenas around the province express interest in having games, and we'll talk to the players and see what works best." Players expected to participate in the games include Simon Gagne, Kris Letang, Danny Briere, Alex Burrows, Marc-Andre Fleury, David Perron, Marc-Edouard Vlasic, Steve Begin, Mathieu Darche and Guillaume Latendresse, Brian Gionta, David Desharnais, Josh Gorges, Colby Armstrong and possibly Carey Price. The matches won't feature contact, but they provide a more competitive environment than the on-ice workouts that players have been holding since the lockout began.

Flyers forward Maxime Talbot is organizing a set of charity games between Montreal and Quebec City born NHLers. Talbot and fellow Flyers' teammate Bruno Gervais discussed setting up these non-contact, but competitive series of charity contests once a potential lockout became a real possibility. Up to 40 players have been approached, including Sidney Crosby, Marc-Andre Fleury, and Daniel Briere to name a few. Invitees have until Thursday to confirm their participation. Hopefully, these games will renew a little portion of the Canadiens-Nordiques rivalry.

Maxime Talbot scored the lone Philadelphia goal in a 3-1 loss to New Jersey in Game Five of their second round playoff series Tuesday night. The goal was the fourth of the postseason for Talbot while Daniel Briere and Brayden Schenn drew assists on the marker. The team was clearly missing the services of Claude Giroux, who was serving a one-game suspension for his hit on Dainius Zubrus in Game Four. After scoring a seemingly unlimited number of goals in their opening round series with the Penguins, the goals dried up for Philadelphia in round two, which ultimately led to their downfall.

Maxime Talbot has been a thorn in the side of his old teammates in Philadelphia's opening round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He has registered three goals and one assist in three games, while scoring twice while the Flyers have been killing penalties. He co-leads the NHL playoffs, with teammate Claude Giroux, with three shorthanded points. Talbot and his new mates will be looking to close out the Penguins in four games on Wednesday night at home.

Although Philadelphia has a 2-0 series lead, Maxime Talbot knows they have to get off to a better start in Game 3. Philadelphia fell behind early in both of their playoff games against Pittsburgh and had to climb out of holes to win. "We have to find a way to start games better," Talbot said. "But once again, we showed a lot of character - it was a big win for us." It was, but they can only expect so many come from behind wins before their opposition finally manages to hold onto a lead.

Maxime Talbot returned to action on Tuesday night after missing Sunday's match with an upper-body injury. He posted one shot and a minus-1 rating in 11:25 of ice time in Philadelphia's 2-1 loss to Florida. Talbot has registered just one goal in his past 13 contests, but he has been relatively productive this year with a personal best 18 markers and 29 points in 72 games.

Maxime Talbot is dealing with an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day. Talbot has been a pleasant surprise offensively for Philadelphia this season with 18 goals in 71 games. He's a solid bottom-six forward on a strong Philly club, but he has no fantasy value. His status for this afternoon's game against his former club is still unknown.

Maxime Talbot has been a pleasant surprise offensively for Philadelphia this season, as he is mostly known for being a strong locker room presence and a great penalty killer. He already has six goals and 10 points in 17 games after scoring eight times and assisting on 13 others over 82 contests with Pittsburgh a season ago. "That's good, but I can't forget that my role is to play well defensively and be responsible," Talbot said. "I don't want you guys to think I'm going to score every game because then I'll put pressure on myself."

Maxime Talbot scored his first goal as a member of the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday. He has one goal and one assist in five games this season, while occupying a fourth-line role. Talbot should not be on your fantasy radar.

Maxime Talbot's contract with Philadelphia reportedly has to be adjusted. According to TSN, his five-year/$9 million deal violated the Collective Bargaining Agreement by reducing his salary by more than 50 percent between the third and fourth years. Philadelphia might also be fined for the infraction.
