Matt Moulson recorded his first two goals of the season in a 7-4 win for the New York Islanders on Thursday versus Toronto. The three-time 30-goal scorer had six shots in the contest after being credited with six shots in his previous two games combined. Moulson has proven to be an effective goal scorer for the Islanders the past three seasons and riding shotgun with star player John Tavares, who had two assists on Thursday, certainly doesn't hurt either. The two of them should be productive in the shortened 2013 season.

For every Islanders home game, a military veteran from WWP, along with one of their family members, was able to attend an Islanders' home game with VIP treatment that included going to the locker room after the game.

Moulson, along with fellow nominee Jordan Eberle, was one of only two players who surpassed the 30-goal mark while still being charged with just three minor penalties. Moulson ended up with a mere six penalty minutes while still accumulating 69 points in 82 games. No player since Paul Kariya in 1996-97 has scored at least 30 goals while having less than 10 penalty minutes.

Whether that is true or not, Moulson has proved himself as a dependable goal producer at the NHL level since becoming a member of the New York Islanders. The fact that he can finish scoring chances only enhances his fantasy value because of the talent of the team's playmakers.
