Fraser has been traded to the Blackhawks along with Andrew Ladd and Jay Harrison, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

As noted by TSN's Darren Dreger, the Jets will receive center Marko Dano, a first-round draft pick in 2016, and a conditional draft pick. This is a very nice deal for the Blackhawks, and the addition of Fraser provides the defending champs with a hard-working depth forward capable of playing on the left or right wing. He's played in 87 NHL games since entering with the Stars in 2011-12, but the Jets didn't use the undrafted Fraser outside of 44 games with minor-league affiliate Manitoba, pitching in five goals and nine assists in 44 games.

Fraser signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Jets on Thursday, Gary Lawless of the Winnipeg Free Press reports. Fraser managed to stick around in the NHL all season with the Bruins and Oilers, but after providing only eight goals and 12 points in 60 games, Edmonton declined to tender him a contract earlier this week. He'll stick around in Canada and compete for a fourth-line role with the Jets in training camp, though the two-way nature of his contract may make him susceptible to an assignment to AHL St. John's.

Fraser will most likely have to settle for a two-way deal this offseason.

A nice little game for Fraser, but considering that his last points came way back on Jan. 29 against Buffalo -- a three-point explosion, that -- he can safely be written off for fantasy purposes in the vast majority of formats.
