Mathew Dumba could get an opportunity to play in the NHL this season. Dumba has struggled in the WHL this season and was unable to crack the Under 20 World Junior team for Canada as he was a late cut, but with the multitude of injuries the Wild have on the blueline, they may have no choice but to bring up the seventh overall pick in the 2012 Draft. Stay tuned as the injury to Marco Scandella could be the determining factor as to whether or not Dumba gets any playing time in the NHL this season.

Matt Dumba scored Red Deer's lone goal in regulation Saturday night en route to a 2-1 shootout win over Everett. The goal snapped a four game pointless streak for Dumba, who hasn't quite regained the force he showed last year. He's a -4 with 14 points in 26 games.

Mathew Dumba scored one goal and one assist as the Red Deer Rebels defeated the Everett Silvertips 4-2 on Wednesday. It's been a slightly up-and-down season for Dumba (at least compared to scoring 57 points in 69 games for Red Deer in 2011-12), but this is a good sign that he might be heating up. Hot prospect Ryan Murray was unable to record a point for Everett in this game.
