Methot (lower body) will be back in the lineup for Saturday's game in Los Angeles.
EDGE Analysis
Methot returns after missing the last four contests to injury. The Senators' defense has done alright in Methot's absence, but they did get lit up for eight goals against the Penguins on Monday. The 31-year-old is a great defensively-minded blueliner, but only has three assists to his name on the season, making him forgettable in most fantasy formats.

Methot (lower body) will not play in Wednesday's contest against the Sharks, Ken Warren of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
EDGE Analysis
Methot is close to returning to the ice, but the Sens are playing it safe and allowing the blueliner to recover fully. The next contest for Ottawa is Saturday against the Kings.

Methot (lower body) will be sidelined for Monday's matchup with Pittsburgh, Wes Crosby of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Methot will miss his third consecutive game due to this ailment with Andreas Englund set to slot into the blue line. When healthy, Methot has averaged 20:13 of ice time per night, despite not lining up on the Sens power play. Considering the 31-year-old's lack of production -- a paltry three assists -- fantasy owners will likely want to pursue other defensive options.

Methot will not play Saturday against the Panthers due to a lower-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
While it looked like he was going to suit up, Methot is now in line to miss his second straight contest. The Sens' defensive efforts will take a hit, but the blueliner is most likely unowned in most formats. The 31-year-old has just three assists in 23 appearances.

Methot will be back in the lineup for Saturday's matchup with Florida, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Methot returns after a one-game absence, although most fantasy owners are unlikely to notice given his limited offensive production. The defenseman can provide some help with ancillary stats such as hits and blocked shots, but otherwise offers very little in terms of value.

Methot (lower body) will not play Thursday night against the Flyers, Dan Seguin of CBC Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
This was expected to be the case, as Methot Man carried a "doubtful" tag Wednesday. Defensemen generally aren't known to be accurate shooters, but Double M hasn't been able to get anything to fall this season -- zero goals on 34 shots -- so the silver lining of him being out of the lineup is that he gets a much-needed mental break.

Methot (lower body) is "high unlikely" to suit up for Thursday's game against the visiting Flyers, Ian Mendes of TSN 1200 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Methot has just three assists for his only points in 23 games this season, so fantasy owners aren't likely to flinch at this latest development. Fredrik Claesson is on hand in the likely event that Methot misses the next contest.

Methot exited Tuesday's contest against the Sabres with a lower-body injury and will not return.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear the nature or severity of the ailment but Methot did sustain a lower-body injury earlier this month so it could be an aggravation. Prior to his departure, the 31-year-old blueliner tallied a hit over 15:22 of ice time.

Methot (lower body) will be in the lineup for Tuesday's matchup with the Flyers, Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Methot left Sunday's game against Minnesota after logging just 3:45 of ice time, and was ultimately unable to return to the contest. The 31-year-old blueliner's ailment evidently wasn't overly serious, as he'll be expected to log his usual 20-plus minutes of ice time in a tough matchup with the Flyers' high-flying offense Tuesday evening. However, with just two assists and and 22 shots on goal in 15 games this season, Methot isn't a viable option in most fantasy formats.

Method sustained a lower-body injury in Sunday's contest with the Wild, Bruce Garriock of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Methot departed after spending just 3:45 on the ice in this one, which is a far cry from his typical 21-plus minutes per game. Methot is a veteran stay-at-home defenseman who doesn't offer much by way of fantasy value (two assists, 22 shots, 30 hits, 18 blocked shots in 15 games this season), so his absence would mean a lot more to the Sens than it would to poolies. Nonetheless, further information about the rearguard's status should become available before Tuesday's road date with the Flyers.
