Marc-Edouard Vlasic was given an extra plus-one on Thursday upon review.
Vlasic was apparently on the ice for the Brad Winchester goal and that made the best night of his career even better as he had a goal and three assists and a plus-five rating in a 5-2 win over Detroit. Make sure your stats service makes the correction if you had him in your lineup.

The Sharks were on the power play only once so Vlasic was on the ice for only 45 seconds as he partnered with Jason Demers. Although he did not get a point with the man-advantage, Vlasic did end up with a goal and three assists and a plus-four rating on the night. His defensive partner Brent Burns was also a plus-four. Marc-Edouard Vlasic led the way for the San Jose Sharks in their 5-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night, scoring once and adding three helpers.
Vlasic's career-night likely directly affected very few fantasy owners as the defenseman has struggled to live up to his rookie-year offensive totals when had 36 points. The two seasons since, he recorded 34 points altogether. That doesn't mean he isn't a valuable real-life player, though. Joe Pavelski potted his 10th goal of the season - shorthanded - to begin a stretch of five unanswered goals for the Sharks. Joe Thornton and Brad Winchester each chipped in with a goal and an assist. Thornton now has 15 points in 16 games. Brad Winchester also scored, his first of the season.

The Sharks have selected Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Joe Pavelski as their co-players of the month for October.
No argument from us here at Rotoworld. Vlasic has played excellent hockey (although not from a fantasy perspective) as has Pavelski, who has outplayed San Jose's other star forwards. It is the first time the Sharks were not able to choose only one player for the honor.

Marc-Edouard Vlasic is playing fantastic hockey alongside new defence partner Brent Burns.
Although he is not much of a fantasy asset, Vlasic has impressed the Sharks' coaching staff with his outstanding play as of late. "Another tremendous game from him [Vlasic] on a night when one of our key guys kind of played sick on the back end [Dan Boyle] ," said Sharks' coach Todd McLellan. He logged a lot of minutes, and he and Burnzie were out best pair, defended a guy like Grabner who can fly 100 niles an hour with a good stick there at one point," the coach continued. "Just a very reliable, trusty guy for us." Nice words from the bench boss.

Marc-Edouard Vlasic was the lone scorer for the Sharks in their 3-1 loss to Phoenix.
Vlasic has yet to show the offensive potential he flashed in junior. The addition of Brent Burns will limit his chances on the power play, so he's a non-factor in fantasy leagues. The talent is there, but the opportunity is not.

Marc-Edouard Vlasic has missed two straight days of practice due to an illness.
This is just an FYI, as the San Jose Sharks still have a little under three weeks left before their season opener. Vlasic will probably be paired up with Brent Burns once he's healthy.
