Marc-Edouard Vlasic led the way for the San Jose Sharks in their 5-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night, scoring once and adding three helpers. Vlasic's career-night likely directly affected very few fantasy owners as the defenseman has struggled to live up to his rookie-year offensive totals when had 36 points. The two seasons since, he recorded 34 points altogether. That doesn't mean he isn't a valuable real-life player, though. Joe Pavelski potted his 10th goal of the season - shorthanded - to begin a stretch of five unanswered goals for the Sharks. Joe Thornton and Brad Winchester each chipped in with a goal and an assist. Thornton now has 15 points in 16 games. Brad Winchester also scored, his first of the season.
