Vlasic not only saw a dip in production -- 28 points this season compared to 39 in 2015-16 -- but saw nearly two minutes less of ice time versus last year. The 30-year-old registered three helpers -- two of which came on the power play -- during the playoffs, yet couldn't help his team avoid a first-round exit.

Vlasic picked up a pair of assists with a plus-1 rating, three blocked shots and a minor penalty in Game 1 against the Oilers on Wednesday.

Vlasic posted a goal with 11 assists and a plus-14 rating in 24 playoff games last season and he is off to a great start in the postseason this year. While he managed just 28 points in the regular season, Vlasic seems to elevate his game in the playoffs. Consider him a nice mid-tier DFS value heading into Game 2 against the Oilers.

With just 22 points in 65 games this season, Vlasic has largely disappointed after a 39-point campaign (across 67 games) in 2015-16, and it's worth noting that his ice time is down nearly two full minutes, from 23:08 to 21:28 in 2016-17, as well. It's unclear whether the reduction in ice time is due to the lack of production -- or vice versa -- but Vlasic's draft stock should undoubtedly be significantly decreased heading into next season.

Vlasic has 12 points in his last 21 games.

EDGE Analysis

The blueliner managed just eight points in the first 32 games of the season, so his play since Dec. 30 definitely counts as an improvement. If we take off the rose-colored glasses, however, Vlasic's 20 points in 55 games leave him in position to fall significantly short of last year's 39 in 67 contests, which has been disappointing for owners that keyed on "Pickles" as a consolation prize behind stud teammate Brent Burns on draft day.
