Vlasic scored his fourth goal of the season, had an assist and fired six shots on goal in Tuesday's win over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Vlasic logged 22:20 of ice time in the victory and got on the scoresheet for the first time in nine games. The 30-year-old is a workhorse and extremely valuable to San Jose, but he's only got 11 points through 36 contests and is failing to produce much with the man advantage. He's still a valuable blueliner in deeper formats, but the lack of consistent offense makes him a tough play in most shallow leagues.

Vlasic assisted on both Logan Couture goals -- including his shorthanded tally -- en route to a 4-0 home win over the Jets on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Pickles has one goal and six helpers through 21 games this season. At this rate, he'll be hard-pressed to match his 28-point output from last season, but he remains a consistent shot blocker, having already recorded 40 of those this season. Even though Vlasic's averaging 22:12 of ice time, he seems to be much more focused on his own-zone play than being a game-changer in the attacking zone.

Vlasic (upper body) will return to the lineup Wednesday night against he visiting Lightning, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic San Francisco reports.
EDGE Analysis
If you're seeking a no-frills blueliner who's deployed in all situations, Vlasic is your guy. Plus, he's averaging one point for every three games played this season, which isn't too shabby for a defenseman.

Vlasic (upper body) could return to the lineup Wednesday night against the Lightning after telling reporters that he passed a baseline test over the weekend, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic San Francisco reports.
EDGE Analysis
It looks as though Vlasic is not in much of a pickle regarding his injury status. He scored his first goal of the season last Wednesday, which also happened to the game in which his injury surfaced. The two-way defense is best reserved for deep fantasy leagues or those with a heavy weight on defensive categories like blocked shots.

Vlasic (upper body) won't play Saturday against the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
Vlasic is still feeling the effects of the high hit he took from Nashville's Ryan Johansen on Wednesday, so Dylan Demelo will occupy his spot in the lineup against Anaheim. The Sharks should release another update on the veteran blueliner's status ahead of Wednesday game against the Lightning.

Vlasic (upper body) did not practice Friday, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vlasic took a high hit from Ryan Johansen on Wednesday, and has been considered questionable for Saturday since. The fact Pickles couldn't practice Friday is definitely a discouraging sign.

Vlasic is considered questionable against the Ducks on Saturday after taking a high hit from Nashville's Ryan Johansen, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
While the league won't be doling out any additional punishment for Johansen, fans no doubt will question the legality of the hit. If the blueliner can't give it a go, Dylan DeMelo would seem to be the most likely candidate to slot into the game-day lineup.

Vlasic sank a power-play goal Wednesday in a 4-1 home win over the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
The was Pickles' first goal and man-advantage point of the young season, and it happened to transpire in a game for which he'd logged his least amount of ice time (15:55). Vlasic is a well-rounded blueliner, but he doesn't stand out in any specific category, which means he's best utilized in roto leagues and by those with deep rosters.

Vlasic has recorded one assist to counter a minus-2 rating through four games this season.
EDGE Analysis
It's not the best of starts for the man they call "Pickles," but the Sharks have only one win and a minus-6 goal differential so far, suggesting that this is more of a systematic problem. Expect Sharks coach Peter DeBoer to do whatever it takes to get Vlasic back on track, though, as Team Teal invested serious money in the Canadian rearguard this summer -- he landed an eight-year, $56 million extension.

Vlasic inked an eight-year, $56 million contract extension with the Sharks on Saturday, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vlasic has contributed consistently for the Sharks since making his way to the NHL in 2006-07. With just one year remaining on his previous deal with San Jose, the club opted to keep him off the free-agent market next season by signing the 30-year-old blueliner to a massive extension. The deal will keep him in San Jose through the 2024-25 season, potentially making him a lifetime Shark.
